My Chihuahua is the guard dog. That loud yap of hers could wake the dead! Oh my gawd, I know what you mean about the chihuahua. I have a 15 week old chichuahua and he yaps at EVERYTHING. I had my pit bull for a year and a half before I got him...she's very quiet and laid back, so I thought maybe my chi would be that way...boy was I wrong. I adore his loud, crazy butt though...lol

Yes, I made this poll. The nature of the dog is simple- Dogs are all born with the same instinct to follow the pavk leader. STUPID people who know NOTHING about dogs fail to care about their instincts and let the dogs think they lead the pack. All they're doing is taking control. It's nature. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO BAD PIT BULLS ANYWHERE!!!!! It's STUPID owners who don't give a toss about how to care for them, that's what does it!

I love pitbulls. They act like there owner! Not every pit is like how everyone thinks they are! If they are raised a certian way they will be that way. Just like if you raised what ever kind of dog you had in a bad way to hate people to attack everything then they would BE THAT WAY!! My pit she has NEVER attacked another dog! She has gotten attacked but 2 different dogs down the street two labs, and she has had to go to the hospital! For me I kicked the other dogs off because the owners just sat back and laughed! So don't say that all pitbulls are the same every dog is its own every dog can be differnt from there kind. My pit she acts like a little poddy. So if you can sit here and say that you hate them because you have seen what they can do well screw you any dog can be mean. Yeah pits have the strongest jaw and thats probably a big reason why people are so cruel to them and teach them to hate and not to love, but you can't write off every one of them. What would you do if your dog attacked someone or another dog would you write off them too?

i have a golden aussie mix and hes by far the most aggressive out of 5 pits. hell even my 3.8lb chihuahua sees the pits playing in the yard and SHE chases THEM! my male chuihuahua doesnt mind the big dogs he just likes to hump on the female dogs LOL. but id trust my 1 yr old a lot more around any of my pits than i would my male chihuahua. my son Aidan likes to hit the dogs cuz he thinks hes playing with them and my chihuahua has arthritis so it hurts and out of instinct he snaps, luckily hes never bitten Aidan but i did tear that chihuahuas butt up!! i would NEVER leave my son unattended with any dog EVER though. its never safe to leave a young child alone with a dog of any size cuz you never will know what will happen. our male Diablo is the biggest baby ive ever seen, when i ws like 7-8 months pregnant this almost 100lb dog wanted me to baby him so he tried to lay his whole body in my lap and that didnt work out to well considering i HAD NO lap. the only dogs that have ever purposley bitten me were a shi-tzu and a chihuahua and a husky type dog. never a pit

judge the deed not the breed so give a pit bull a try before sentencing them to die.... isnt that so true!my bro has a pit and hes the sweetest puppy i will ever know all those people who think there evil are idiots yea like any dog they will attack and again like any dog they will only attack if any threat. my sis has a teacup cuwawa and they play together all the time and nuthing happens anthough our pit is still a puppy but full grown and not even 1 yet but about to be when he gets exicted playing with the cuwawa and sence hes so clumsy cuz the bigger the clumser we have to watch him cuz he can hurt her and we dont want anything to happen really its the owner not the dog.their the sweetest breed i will ever know there my fav type of dog along with german sheperds and collies. pits are super sweet and cuttley our pit thinks hes a lap dog. haha. its just how u raise them thats all and i feel sorry for those whos been attacked by them but just because of that try not to hate them its just the owner who taught them to be that way so they dont know any better
WHEN THREATEN THEY ATTACK BUT ALL PEOPLE SEE IS THE ATTACK NOT THE THREAT.

i love pits more than any dog in the entire world their so quiet and cute they have a heart for playing and fun i know if i was ever attacked my bros pit would be there for me just like for any1 else in the family and yea know what? id be there for him too i just love him so much people really misunderstand this breed which is just so sad its like judging a book my its cover every time some1 talks bad about these dogs it breaks my heart cuz every time i look at by bros pit i see a loving, loyal, playful puppy who means no harm but yea he has been visous and almost knocking down the gate because our nabors dog keeps jumping the fence and people just wana pet him through our gate but he thinks its a threat some how so we haf to put up beware of dog signs and tell people hes and ol english bulldog(its true cuz hes a mix) so they arnt scared of him at first sight cuz he will take avantage of that. hes such a sweet puppy i just hate it so much how people think there bad dogs

Pit Bulls are generally no nastier than its owner trains it to be. Because of their vise-like jaws, there is always the possibility of tragic results. They (or no other dog for that matter) should be allowed to run loose. You might not want one if you have an infant or toddler around.

I have a friend who has a Pit, and it's the sweetest thing in the world, but people thought it was aggressive because they saw that she had a bad dog bite. But it wasn't her dog that bit her - it was the cute but "feisty" next door Beagle.
I'm more scared of my grandmother's Yorkie than my friend's dog.
