I just got a cat stuck under the hood of my car too. It was sleeping inside, and when it tried to escape it stuck its leg on a cable. Lucky for it I only drove 10m before noticing, cut the cables and the cat walked away, apparently unharmed. And I got to take the bus home.

You're a hero for mutilating your car to set that kitty free. I've also heard of cats and kittens sleeping in the tire wells (on top of the tire - out of sight) and being hurt when the car starts to move. These cats were lucky.

Cloe, I had a cat that would curl up around the agitator in our washer and almost had a heap of clothes tossed in on top of him more than once. We all learned to keep the washer closed after a few close calls.

I wonder if the kitty found it's way home too?
