You have to remember that cats are animals and they take time to get used to a new environment. I treat mine like I would a small child. In a way they act in the same ways as children with their sometimes behavior problems. It all takes time. Most of them just need more training to remember where the litter box is. http://www.earlysvilleanimalhospital.com/id-6...

I have three cats and we had this issue with two of them. A boy and a girl. We took them each to the animal hospital to have the vet look at them. With our boy cat it was because he needed to be neutered and the girl cat was actually allergic to her kitty litter. Why a cat does this could be for a multitude of reasons. http://myuniversitypethospital.com

Hi, I struggled with my cat peeing everywhere in the house. I was seriously thinking giving her away but one day I found about a product called "Cat Spraying No More". I gave it a shot and surprisingly enough, it did the trick and my cat started using the litter box!

I've made a review site for the product and you should definitely check it out if you are having the problem with your cat(s). Hopefully this will help you like it did me.-Emma

My cat did a similar thing once. I read in this article https://cattamboo.com/cats/how-do-cats-commun... that cats communicate using their scent. Maybe your cat is in heat or something and is trying to tell other cats through her scent. The way I fixed the problem was to place my cats food dish in every location. Cats don't eat where they pee. This made my cat stop! Nothing else that I tried worked.

My female cat, 6 yrs old, has taken up a very bad habit of peeing in 3 specific places in my house, on the bathroom floor, the table next to the front door, and the corner next to the front door. She poops in the litter box as normal. She just started this, and I have tried putting her nose in it, then putting her in the litter box. I have tried shutting her in a room with the litter box, her food & water, but nothing is stopping her. She seems bent on "marking" my house up. I am going to get married in a few months, and my fiancee will not tolerate that. If she doesn't stop I am going to have to give her up, which will just break my heart. She has a litter sister that is also with me, they hate each other. I don't know if this is a jealousy issue or what. But if anyone has any suggestions to get her to stop...PLEASE TELL ME!!!
Or it could be you cat is totally healthy and is trying to communicate through her scent. Cats do this all the time in the wild.
