Cat Diapers: Can They Help With Spraying And Other Elimination Problems?

There are 6 comments on the story from Aug 24, 2011, titled Cat Diapers: Can They Help With Spraying And Other Elimination Problems?. In it, reports that:

Every year approximately 2-4 million cats end up in shelters and pounds here in the United States. Seventy percent of them are euthanized. Besides cat overpopulation, human health issues and finances, behavior problems are a large factor in causing someone to surrender a cat. And litter box avoidance is the number one feline behavior issue.

If your cat has a clean bill of health from their vet and you've tried other methods to stop improper elimination (Feliway, Bach's Rescue Remedy, Plenty of Clean Litter Boxes, Medication, etc.) then you may want to consider Cat Diapers.

Whether your cat is afraid of the litter box because he associates it with the pain he felt from an earlier UTI or he was neutered after he was in the habit of spraying, or for improper elimination of any kind, diapers are a viable solution. In fact numerous catteries use "stud pants" to prevent urine marking from both male and female cats. Cat diapers also allow disabled and incontinent cats to remain cleaner and have more freedom to roam their homes.

I decided to write this article after recommending cat diapers to a few people that were having problems with their cats ruining their homes. It's definitely cheaper than replacing or restoring your furniture, walls, flooring and/or sanity.

If you're having problems with your cat eliminating where they're not supposed to, you may want to give them a try.

While researching this I found out that someone has invented a bird diaper! I had a cockatiel when I was a teen and took him everywhere I could. These would have helped to prevent a few "accidents" my bird had on me. Check them out at: http://www.avianfashions.com/

I rescued 5 of the 7 cats I have and they are all neutered but are still spraying despite having 3 feliway plugins, cat calming meds I give them everyday, the cat litter attractant I sprinkle in all 10 of the spotless cat litter boxes I have throughout my home and vet said they are all healthy. I NEED THESE stud pants but because I live in Canada, the price for just 1 pair jumps from $5.55 U.S. to $30 each plus $28 dollars in shipping! So in other words, I can't possibly afford to buy 5 of them! I really need someone's help to find someone who will make them for me for a cheaper price and cheaper shipping, Is there anyone out there willing to help me? I'm desperate and so depressed at the damage and smell of my one beautiful farm house! PLEASE HELP US! Sincerely, cat mom.

Here's a link to some affordable diapers. They are only meant for spraying, so you don't have to clean poo out of them like some of the others.
