I just received an attempt to be scammed by a facebook page girl named Nicole Lane. She was giving an English bulldog away only thing I had to pay was $210 for the transportation of the dog. she said she lived in Houston, tx and she was going to take the dog to the transportation place and it was called royal pet transport and I received an email on how to pay no contact info then I looked up the information and she had just formed a facebook account a couple weeks ago and it seemed to fishy for me so I kept on searching and came to this page where I see similar stories. I also saw on the email an address of Cameroon. this is scary and i'm so glad I did not send the money, I was so close to paying for the shipping of the dog.

Scam Alert!

BEWARE, THESE CAMEROON AFRICA PET SCAMMERS ARE MAGGOTS ALL OVER THE INTERNET.

You can identify these scammers because they will insist you pay by money order or wire transfer.

NEVER wire funds via Western Union, MoneyGram or any other wire service -- anyone who asks you to do so is a SCAMMER.

Thank you so much for taking the time to announce the scam. I fell in love with the dogs. I was just offered to receive jimmy the male and the female free of charge. I felt like it was too good to be true. Reason was relocated due to work, live in apt which doesn't allow pets and just don't have time for the pups. Flight fee is $515. Thanks again. Teaches me not to purchase online and to purchase my puppy in person.

Wow, all I can say to all the people who got scammed trying to buy an English Bulldog is maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Obviously you shouldn't own an English Bulldog! If you had done any research on the breed at all you would have easily found that 1. They cost at LEAST $1500 and 2. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO SHIP THEM!!!!!! As a matter of fact almost all airlines refuse to ship English Bulldogs due to the high likelihood they will not survive it. Now, if you know that about the breed, why would you ever agree to have a puppy shipped, regardless of the price?

If people would just stop trying to buy an English Bulldog puppy for next to nothing and actually go to the seller, physically see the puppy that your wanting to purchase there wouldn't be any scammers getting rich off of this! I breed bulldogs and between the cost of $1000 to artificially inseminate our female,$200 for x rays to see if the puppies are progressing and another $1500 to $2000 for a c section why would anyone be selling a healthy bulldog puppy for $600 or even $1000. Breeders are not looking to loose money doing this. Not to mention a cheap bulldog can cost thousands in vet bills for such things as hip dysplasia, elongated soft palate, ingrown tail etc etc etc. This us NOT a cheap breed to buy or a cheap breed to own! Please if nothing else go and at least look at the puppy your going to make part of your family!!! It infuriated me to read the stupid questions and answers from some if these people!
AMEN! I own a wonderful 6-month old English Bulldog I purchased locally for an excellent price $2000 and am afraid to even put him on a 45 minute flight. Why would you decide on such an expensive breed if you don't have the money to pay for it? It's true that they are NOT cheap to own and require a lot of care!

Same thing except I was trying to purchase a French Bulldog. The following people/websites are also horrible sub human beings trying to steal money & don't care who or how they hurt people. Moralespets.net ...claiming to be out of Georgia...scammers. Susan Collins also part of a scam. Centrio French Bulldogs, also a scam. Reverend James Geoffrey in South Africa...scam. It's so depressing all these people are willing to cheat people already in financial stress who just want to get a puppy. My poor little granddaughter has been heartbroken 3 times, & so have I.

I was lucky that I sent none of these people money, but still it was heartbreaking to think we were getting a puppy...& I know it seems foolish to believe you can get them so inexpensively, however, you believe you are either dealing with someone who just wants good homes for their puppies or people who are looking for someone to adopt a puppy that was purchased once already.

Michele,

You are not going to find a puppy for free,

Any ad for a puppy that reads "for free adoption" IS A SCAM!

DO NOT BUY A PUPPY OVER THE INTERNET UNLESS YOU CAN VERIFY THE BREEDER.

lizzy would be good for us.
can we pay when the puppy gets here?
we live in brighton
i have my partner here and and my daughter here.
we have one dog and 3 cats.
WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSPHER WANTED...OR CASH PST OFFICE PAYMENT
I contacted the same person in regards to American eskimo pups. Seemed legit at first until I noticed the generic 'dear' and also, the advert came up based in London, then they tell me the puppies are actually in Scotland?? If you google image his email address it comes up with loads of fake adverts. Luckily I was sceptical and didnt give my exact location and phone number. I questioned why the advert was in London and no reply. Its such a shame its so difficult to tell if it's genuine or not.

Please in future pick a breeder via the Kennel club. The breeders pay to be on the site to show they're legit. They're all authorised breeders, and although more expensive, they're worth it.

Instead of buying, why don't you adopt?
There are lots of available, great dogs looking for homes in your local shelter.
