I was browsing the net looking for a bulldog pup, and came across, "amanda's bullies". Unfortunately there was no Amanda and no bullies. It was not hard to determine that this was scam, since the scammer had not quite mastered the English language. He or she misspelled many words, and the dialogue was choppy and non-sensical at times. The bottom line was, "send me $500 for shipping, and I will send you the pups" (initially there was only one pup, and now there are two). She claimed to be living in Hawaii, and that she was "too busy" to take care of the puppies.
Watch out for long, convoluted stories of woe from these people, decribing in some cases ridiculous circumstances. Another ad I saw stated that I should contact "father maxwell" who purchased bulldog puppies and flew to africa, and suddenly discovers that he can't take care of them. Lucky for me!! Right? Wrong.
The best way to purchase a bulldog pup is to find a reputable breeder in your area. Chances are you may know sonmeone who knows someone, ect... or carefully search for their website or ad, but
beware

Had this happen to us this year unfortunately my kids had lost several family members over a three year period and this year they had been so lost we wanted to get a pup an English bulldog to be exact as they have always loved that breed! We had a lady I found offer to allow us a pair brother and sister set for simply paying the cost of the transfer! This cost changed every time we paid another fee came up and it wasn't until the last amount that we sent to an international city! We had put our kids Christmas money and then some into this and it turned out to be a scam! I contacted so many people that we were interviewed in multiple markets to help prevent others from having this happen because these people are good you have no idea they have a whole scam in our continental states working to get your heart and money I've lost more than I care to over the past four years and these scammers were the icing to this my kids still ask about what happened its sad and reprehensible

I fell for the same add but it was a woman in St.Paul Minnesota ...her name was Kate Henderson..
She gave the same story tho..the pups were supposed to be delivered to me tonight but when I got the "confirmation" call the man on the line didn't speak good English...so I called the airport in Minnesota and the agent who answered the phone told me about the scams...and told me that the airline they told me has been out of business for years....so thank God I never paid any money...

If you really want an English bulldog , go to dog shows.....see which breeders show well and many of them do very small scale, selective breeding with great results. . You'll pay more but the life expectancy is usually much longer and the health issues are much less if you go this route so you do get what you pay for.

I was on a website looking for a Siberian husky, it said she was in my area, the post was the same as the ones below and I emailed her, she told me she just relocated to florida and she would have to shit it, she then told me to western union my money to a Baiye Taberem Bertrand in Douala yaounde 00237 in Cameroon. She asked me the same questions as the rest of you, I thought it was weird that I had to send the money to another country, so I googled the name, to find this. Thank you everyone, without you I would have been scammed too....

Has anybody heard of California Bulldog Breeders being a scam? We pay the full amount upfront via credit card and then meet them at an airport..sounds fishy.
