So my wife wanted a dog real bad and she goes to the shelter, picks one out and tells me that I need to see it. I don't want a dog, we don't live in the largest of places and we do not have a large yard. I am totally against having an indoor dog, to me it's a non-debatable issue. So we come to the agreement that the dog will be her primary responsibility. Well, even with that agreement, and due to her work schedule I find myself taking care of it more and feeding it. When she is home, the dog finds itself inside "somehow". I hate it and I should have just told her no.

Anyway, this dog is a persistent anti-authoritative dog. I have trained many a labs and German Shepherds. Every single one could be taught sit and stay in a matter of days. This dog cannot sit, it will sit and then start running around jumping. When it's in the house, it just pisses wherever it pleases, even though we take it out every two hours. It does understand the whole going to the door thing, which is a miracle for this dog, but it picks and chooses when. It either wants to piss outside or in the living room; I guess depending on how it feels. It chews on everything, even though I slap it each time it picks up an object it shouldn't have. My wife is in the animal care business, but she doesn't have any luck.

The final straw was just happened. I took the dog outside to pee. I hardly have had any trouble with the dog going to far without coming back when I call its name. Today a car drove by and the dumb dog chased it, so I find the dog a mile out of the way and a woman was petting it, the dog jumped up and scratched her car.

An 80 dollar dog to me is not worth the damage caused by this. It will probably cost me hundreds to get the door fixed. I know I will get a bill since the truck is new. I need to get you'lls opinion on what must be done because the dog has proven itself unworthy of my time and money. This is a dumb dog people.

So I need you'lls input on this matter and you need to pick out which method I should choose. I will leave this up to you. I will check back in two weeks and I will decide on how to rid myself of the dog. And going back to the shelter is not an option, this dog has no business being inside a home.

Option 1-
Euthanasia. I do not like this choice because the money that could be spent on the euthanization will probably go towards fixing the paint job.

Option 2-
45 caliber. Take the dog out to a field and rid itself from my misery.

Option 3-
Abandonment. Just go 20-30 miles and drop it off.
just saying

wife should've listened. But, option 4. Maybe you can find someone that wants the dog. A nice young family with a back yard.
