Repairing restroom roof at Sherwood's not easy - Hawaii News

QUESTION: I work as a lifeguard at Waimanalo Bay Recreational Area, better known as "Sherwood's." The roof of the men's restroom at the center bathhouse was damaged by the same storm that hit the Kailua gym back in December.

What an outrageous estimate to repair the Sherwood's restroom roof. The structure seems to be so simple in design. Did the city get the roof tested for asbestos or did they assume it was asbestos? Would the cost be $100,000+ to replace the entire structure? Wow. As a follow-up question, would you post the final cost and scope of work done for this project?

Well, hurry up....this is a beautiful beach park. It's a shame that government inaction is preventing the public from enjoying such a great place.
I'm sure if this was the restroom at the administrative offices of Parks and Rec, the repairs would have been completed by now, even if the whole restroom was constructed of asbestos.

Alice its NOT the STATE its the CITY don't get the CITY & STATE mix-up Parks & Recs.dept.State works slow 1st gear CITY is 3-gear u see there is a small diffrents not much.The BEST Dept. is ENV.SER (CSM) The BEST in the CITY the BOSS is L. Good of you to stand up for your boss, but isn't ENV SRV embroiled in Federal suits due to the sorry state of our sewer system?

The City is not capable of acting. We have a lousy mayor who has allowed the city to deteriorate badly. Please...allow volunteers to rebuild this facility.
