I enjoy shopping at kroger. They might be a little higher in prices but with the coupons that you can get from there you can get a good deal. The e-coupons are great. I save a lot of money there.

The employees at the pharmacy are rude. As mnay employees as they have there you would think that they would be a little nicer. I have had some really bad experiences there. The last time I dropped off my prescrition the girl told me that it would be 15 mins. So I left and returned about 30 mins later the same girl said it will be a min as she stood there texting on her phone. So I seat down in the seats that they have there. About 5 mins later she said "Oh we dont have your prescription here we will have to order it."
She could have let me know that instead of spending her work time on her cellphone.

I find Kroger a pleasant store to shop. Their produce is alays fresh and most times less costly than WALLy World!! They carry items you simply cannot find in SAL or Wally World. I like their pharmacy also. If you shop wisely, you can always find bargains at Kroger and with the Kroger card, I save a lot of money. I always spend more at Wally World than at Kroger or SAL.. Of course there are certain items that I buy at all three stores where one does not stock, the other does, etc. All three stores have a lot to learn about sausage though, Kroger has a fine Italin sausage in their meat case, fressh and much more appealing than the packaged kind that comes frozen to the shelf. As far as a good polish sausage, none of the three stores carry any good brands. Ekrich is nothing but a glorified hot dog,, and Hilshire Farm the same way, Johnsonville sausage,, maybe a step above the other two but cerainly none are a true sausage. This is why I will buy a pig and make my own sausge with all the good herbs and spices added in to make an authentic polish sausage!! Wally World makes their meat package too big,,for those that want fresh meat, we dont want to have to freeze the meat we will not use at one meal, cant they make smaller packages?? Same for Kroger and SAL,, just sayin,,,
I too agree. Kroger's is a good all around grocery store. But as for the pharmacy, GOOD GRIEF. I was at the Pharmacy one morning quite early with one script. Mt. Sterling was in the midst of a snow storm and there were no customers at the Pharmacy counter, with one exception... All the Kroger Pharmacy employees were sitting on the counters talking with one another. As I handed a Pharm Tech my script, I asked if it could be filled asap as I had to get to work. Her response was "oh no we're backed up and it will be at least an hour". I started laughing, got my script back and exited the store. I am NOT the only person who has experienced this lack of quality service that Kroger Pharmacy brags about in the commercials. A Doctor in this community said that when it comes to Pharmacies, Kroger's is near or at the very bottom compared to the other Drug Stores in Montgomery County.

I agree that there are a few VERY RUDE people in the pharmacy. The superviser there needs to take a look at how they treat their customers. Customer service is very important, especially when you aren't feeling well, or have a sick child waiting for meds.
it's not just the pharmacy where people are rude The customer service desk is worse. They stand around talking to each other and you will be standing there looking at them. The one with all the make up on is the worse , her voice just kills me.

All these people sitting around on your computer should get out and get a job and see how it is to work in the public. I am retired now I worked in the public and they are awful to deal with you can't please them if you got down and kissed their feet. I just got out in time it was getting bad dealing them people stealing, stealing checks, and anything else they can do to try to con you out of something and try to start something to get free money. I wouldn't judge no one until I have walked in their shoes. There is alot of rude people out there. I have never had any trouble with anything there I have to have specials orders they are always willing to help, sounds like you might have been turned down for something!

Does anyone else also notice the nasty odor when you first enter the store? The produce area has an obviously bad stench.

That's all the ammonia in the water that comes out of the sprayers overhead of the produce, some of the city drinking water has chemicals in it anyway. Not as bad as some stores were years ago.
I have seen some stores in the past soak chicken and some other meats in buckets of bleach water to make old dark meat look a lighter color. They also used to mix ox blood with hamburger to make it look red and fresh when it turned dark.

i have been shopping at kroger several years now. i never shop at wal-mart anymore. myself i think everyone working at kroger is very nice.the pharmacy people is also nice. last year i was really sick and had no isurance to get the medicine i needed and they helped me every way possible to get the medicine i needed. they didnt even know me except from coming in there twice a week or so. the way i look at it if you show them respect they will show you with respect back also. Everytime i am in there they ask me how i am feeling and very nice to me. so i believe eveyone should think before they speak. Have a wonderful day !!!!
