Man, COLD DRAFT sounds good! It'll take me awhile to get there though, I am in Florida near Tampa right now. I know its kinda weird that I edit the Topix news for that area and live near the beach here, but I am from Jasper County and homesick I guess. I like to keep up on the 4-state news too - Florida SUCKS and I will move back up north eventually. It really blows that I missed the Maple Leaf stuff in Carthage, too. BTW, where the hell is Sniktaw??

Yeah. It's better they should serve no purpose whatsoever and end up at a meat auction. Good plan.

These horses get better care than most people. Get a grip.

For the most part, they don't. Horse meat goes to large markets in Europe (France is a big buyer) and Japan. We no longer slaughter in this country but we do send thousands of horses -- EVERY DAY -- to Canadian and Mexican slaughter plants. The meat goes to Europe and Japan from there.

I'm not sure that horse meat is illegal in the U.S.; we just don't slaughter here anymore.

Eating horse meat just doesn't appeal to me, sounds NASTY for some reason. I saw something about black market horse meat on the news the other day - I was wondering what that was all about!

Hey Dark_Island I was going to help you with editing the Halloween Page but they did not add me on until a WEEK AFTER Halloween! The Halloween News will start slowin' down now I guess!

Oh, well, there'll be another one next year.

Maybe.

I see a newswire story pop up saying the days of Halloween are limited. Dang.

You can always keep an eye on it and take out news stories that don't belong there. I take out ones that mention Halloween just because some one got murdered that day, had an accident that day, there's some movie that mentions Halloween, etc. etc. That's how *I* edit that forum. You can do what you want, of course. That's what makes multiple editors fun.

Yes I agree. I was wondering what your ideas were about it - sounds like we do it the same way. I have a tendency to add images to articles (because I think it makes them look more interesting on the news page). If the article doesn't have a photo I will grab a public domain stock photo related to it and add it for fun, so you may see some weird ones sometimes LOL.

Ah, I see we DO agree. I have an extra drive just for private photos, stock photos and clip art to put with articles. It's a rare article that doesn't have some sort of pic to go with it. Weird is good. Especially in Halloween.

Look around for some other topics to edit that might float your boat. You'd be surprised which ones turn out to be more fun than you might suspect. The Michael Jackson forum has turned out to be the most fun ever for me -- I'm not a fan, you see. I like presenting the... <cough> *different* <cough> Michael Jackson news. After all, this isn't a fan site, right? ;)

That could be interesting. What kind of ponies does your brother Runt have?

Small stallions trying to breed large mares are ripe to get kicked badly (and often fatally) in the stomach and nether regions. My miniature stallion (7.1 hands) was quite the Romeo and we had to keep a strict eye (and often a lead rope) on him when he started eyeing up the big girls in the pasture. He had BIG ideas, he did.

Daily Horoscope for November 21

Capricorn

Some of you may wonder where your money's going as the Moon meets Neptune in your second house of personal finances; your money seems to be spent as fast as you can make it. Before you go blaming everyone else, do a prosperity dance. Get all the junk you don't use any more out of your house and donate it to charity, then dance naked under the stars. You'll soon find you have all the money you need.
