How much do they cost? What is needed for them? Are the vet and feed bills high? And where can I get one?

My boss has a small herd of about 35 pygmies. They are some of the silliest animals I've ever seen. They do tend to get themselves into trouble.

I wish my dad would let me get a goat. I saw really cute ones yesterday at a farm. But they smell weird!

So what is needed for them? How much for vet bills?
Where can I get one around here? Is it expensive to feed them?

A couple of things you need to consider is that most towns consider them as livestock & may not allow residents to keep them. They don't do well alone, so you'd need to have at least a couple. Their odor is very strong & most people don't like it. They require vet care & specialized feeding. It is not true that they'll eat anything. Manure has to be dealt with. They can get into anything & everything. Fences need to be built & shelter for colder weather. Pregnancy can also be an issue. Yeah, they're cute, but they aren't for everyone.
