""The mob etc..."" you can really come up with some great ideas. Sounds like an offshoot of American lifestyles after watching a series of Rocky movies. Most people, me included, are just folks leading a normal kind of life. That's why Canada is the place to be. Don't worry, I am legal and will live the rest of my natural life here.
Yes, the Canadian Prime Minister years ago upset Nixon? by having normal relations with Cuba.
Canadians vacation there often, and Cuban cigars are available at any smoke shop here. Yankee tourists load up and smuggle them back to the US. plus Persian carpets. Looks like "Liberty and Freedom' to me.....
"Missles aimed" at Russia from Europe were ok though..??
You have greater concerns than who gets into your country. The US needs to understand the new realities of the 21 C.
Back to US media and no Canadian coverage: or other international coverage:
That is part of the propaganda plan. They don't want ordinary Americans seeing that life is actually better in many other countries. Just like Russian media censorship.
If you were not such an arrogant ass, some of your points may even be recieved. Not to worry though, your pride won't consider any critisicm on your Supremacy Trip....you need to be hit in the head with a shovel and I know a volunteer for that job....

Right.. like.. No pollution or or urban sprawl.. Safe streets and lush green vegetation.
Clean, orderly, and beautifully kept houses. Fresh air..... You wouldn't like it...
<quoted text>
And you think the USA is the ONLY country that thinks only in the realm of its own culture/politics? If so, then your ignorance/gullibility is truly amazing!
You are definitely the most myopic..
Most other countries have culture and education that at least understands other aspects of the planet.
It is unfathomable to Americans.. eg: Good French films have to be remade and made dumb and dumber for the American market..
<quoted text>
Hey, I don't think a Big Mac is great food. I think it's a heart attack on a plate. So what's your argument?
You sell billions of them...and celebrate it as part of your "national cusine"...

<quoted text>
Nice try, but that dog won't hunt. So you go on thinking that way if that's what floats your boat, because it's all you'll be able to do.
Your dog is blind.. and likes chicken feathers. they are scattered around your shoes, Mr. GOPer.

Elvis is dead, despite some who think he is living in Bora Bora. He "needs" to do nothing.
I am glad you think he is dead.. he is... but he owed his past good-fortune to Black musicians..

So just because there have been movies made about the Mob, you think the plausibility that someone may be hiding from it isn't real? What planet are you from?

And when was the last time you vacationed in Cuba? When was the last time you smoked a Cuban cigar? BTW, not that I would, but if I really wanted to vacation in Cuba, I could. All I need to do is board a Cubana de Aviacion flight from either Nassau, or Mexico, and a few Jacksons to grease the Cuban immigration officers to not stamp my passport. And I still could get there in less time than you could.

Abso-f*cking-lutely. The Jupiter missiles were IRBM's, not ICBM's, and it was Turkey, not Europe. Further, we never denied we had them there; the Soviets denied the missiles in Cuba until we showed them proof of them. They still denied their purpose for being there, and that the Cuban and Russian troops were ready to fuel and fire the missiles. Besides, Castro was "trigger-happy" against the U.S., so for all practical purposes, those were a bigger threat to the U.S. and to Canada, if they had been launched at New York and Seattle. Take a closer look at your history books.

Talk about an example of an overly broad statement which actually says nothing at all, and coming from a Canadian! How trivial!!

Of course; it's always better in some other country to a Canadian with an axe to grind against the U.S. Fact, no other country has the illegal immigration problems we have. Now, if that doesn't tell you that there are many more people who disagree with your contention, and who are willing to risk life, limb and at minimum deportation to get into MY COUNTRY, then you need remedial English comprehension, or a new brain.

Nah, you're confused. That was Michael Pare playing the role of Eddie Wilson in Eddie and the Cruisers II, which was a movie.

Sun Records was noted by mainly recording R & B artists prior to Elvis, but that is not an inference that Elvis owed anything to black musicians. If anything he owed his fortune to a record company who also recorded black musicians.

Again, get your history straight pinhead.

He owed his success to no one. He had talent and was smart enough to do something with it! That made him a self made success story. What's your freakin obcession with Elvis? Are you aware he is dead? Just like my mom....you'll have to deal with it, but obcessing about it won't bring him back. Sorry.

The fact of the matter is no one can be elected to any federal office in this country without a large block of non-hispanic White folks supporting him or her.
Non-hispanic Whites are in control.

If memory of documentaries serves, didn't the Elvis start in a gospel church, with black singers?
But all in all, Elvis had a unique and gifted voice. No one sounds as he. Too bad he went bonkers on the Scripts.

The arrogance you perceive in me is not close to yours. Eg.. the air temp here is a factor for what???
Your desire to maintain one-upmanship is unprecedented.

I don't expect my points to be accepted by you. but I would just like to state them for the record.

Other people might get it though... You may(slightly-possibly) ponder them at some later point of enlightenment... as your political/economic situation unfolds.

You can "twist" this any way you want. Without Black role models and music.. "The King" never would have been. You know that.!
That is "straight" history. I wonder why your psyche can't accept that.. That's an index too.
