Here we go, why on earth would we want to cut foodstamp funding? When only what 50 some MILLION AMERICANS ON THEM! More than at any other time in our history! Why may you ask? Because we have a president and his minions in the senate who can seem to villify, blame, and chastise eveyone else for everything they have exacerbated. However can't seem to do the ONLY thing they are constitutionally required to do, PASS A BUDGET! Everyone KNOWS the majority of those on foodstamps, don't need foodstamps to begin with. I've seen this so many times, it's silly. Watch a deadbeat pull foodstamps out of a LV, Coach, Prada, etc purse. I've watched these same douchbags walk out of the store and put there ill gotten goods in a Escalade with all the bling. So I don't get hammered for being a racist, I've watched white trash do the same thing only they get in a Tahoe or Suburban. The dependence on gov't for all our needs, has got to stop. The sooner we start weening off the sooner we can take individual responsibilty for ourselves. SELF RELIANCE IS THE GOAL! What we were always intended to be! Tea Party 2012!

In the nearly bankrupt, deficit ridden remains of "Loserocrat" California most grocerys wouldn't even have to carry Filet Mignon if it wasn't for the illegals and bums using food stamps to buy them. Are other Americans twisted enough to put up with this crap or are Calif. the only citizens who are stupid enough to pay for this extortion?

you need a little more Johnny Cash in your life.

.
.
and, because states are responsible for welfare now, instead of the federal government, state workers deny truly needy people welfare, but help them get as much as they can from the federal government through food stamps.
I believe that you've seen those things, but just because someone owns nice things doesn't mean that they aren't going through a hard-patch and need a little help feeding their kids, or paying their rent.
.
(that being said, this "forever-unemployment " chaps my butt, so I get where you're coming from)

Don't cut off food stamps, CAUSE those who rely on food stamps to earn their food stamps. We will help you but you may have to sweep the street or clean a few tiolets or wash a few windows or some other maintenance chore.

I do think it is a good idea....Welfare and food stamp people should do something...Cutting it off will only put millions of people into the street to starve and turn to crime.....It would cost us more if we cut it off...

There's a MAJOR problem in this country! The richest 1% don't have enough money and the Poor has too much so it is the moral duty of the RepubliCONs is to take that money from the poor and give it to the rich!

Very true! Cut off food and crime will escalate for sure. The majority of GOP yapping has been about Christian this and Christian that and cutting off food for the needy is not Christian. The GOP has proven they are fake Christians and are only out to protect their fat pockets, cohorts and donors just like communists.

Filet mignon? I hope it is also Angus, nothing but the best for the food stampers, Illinois is running a close second in stupidity, look who is running our State, Governor Quinn, our neighbor Wisconsin has unemployment down from Illinois 10 percent to Wisconsin 7 percent. And we are swimming in debt in Illinois, actually it is drowning Illinois. They raised taxes 66 percent here, and it does nothing to solve the problem, Illinois is not paying their bills, Judy Barr Topinka says. But hey the government unfunded union pensions are making out like a bandit here...

The Repuglies just yesterday voted AGAINST fairness. "Beware the military complex". It already has the most bloated budget of OUR hard earned tax money. The republicon party is officially Mentally Ill, and they choose to be this way.

But are they really disabled... or are some of them faking it, some health problems such as back problems are difficult to get a definitive diagnosis I hear tell... Did you know that voting third party is really a vote for Obama...

Did you hear how much Obamacare is bloating it went from 900 billion like that was acceptable, to 1.7 trillion in no time, and a half a trillion each year following. And what about that bloated stimulus package for one trillion for not so shovel ready jobs, but hey Obama got a belly laugh out of that with Immelt, so I guess that was a priceless to see him laugh and throw away taxpayers money like that. At least the military actually does something like protect us. But of course the Haliburton contract was renewed by Obama without getting any bids curiously. And didn't he promise to close gitmo, but instead they have built a fancy 750.000.00 dollar soccer field, for the guys to play, hey they need a outlet sure.. I apologize for using a fox news article LOL, but no I don't, this time it fits.

Dont judge a person until you walked a day in there shoes...I know a guy on social security who is 40. He has a weird lung illness. He looks good and some days he can get around ok..Some days he is on oxygen in bed and can hardly get to restroom.... Some like you might think he could work...But what jobs would let you be sick in bed 2 to 3 days a week..

In Illinois and California, it can't be far off with the Liberal Democrat Progressives stealing every dime away, for the public unfunded unions never ending thirst for the taxpayer's money, they sponge every drop they can wring out of us. Hey they need their pensions, and the rest of saps if we are lucky may have only a 401k..... Wisconsin, NJ, and Ohio are some good role models to what needs to be done, keep up the good work.
