No one has to sign-up before December 31st. The teabagging cons call it a failure because everyone hasn't signed up in week 1.
That's like saying medicare has failed because all enrollees won't make a change in this first week of open enrollment. teabagging cons go to great lengths to deceive themselves.

Poor pookie, the government in trying to sound successful was counting hits on the website instead of actual people signing which they couldn't due to Obama's faulty dysfunctional group of academics that can't produce anything but theory's that don't work.

Don't you just love it when the government reps tell you "that's the wrong question" when Chris ask "how many actually signed up for Obamacare?"....hilarious! !!!

They know exactly how many have actually signed up, it's just too embarrassing to admit! Counting the number of hits isn't even an accurate number when people were trying to long to get on and trying so many times to get through. What they have are the same people "hitting" the site numerous times trying to get on. That only means the site is a joke and doesn't work, not that so many American's are excited about it. Libs are so freakin funny, trying to make a complete failure sound like American's are so excited about it. Lew looked like a complete buffoon Sunday!

Every person going on the site wasn't even looking to sign up, they were just trying to see what we are being forced to accept while the Congress forces it down our throats and run from it themselves. It's not like we were told a lot of actual truth about the damn thing because they admittedly passed it without reading it first! Curiosity DOES NOT MEAN EXCITEMENT!!! Only libs would try to make this epic failure sound good for us.

Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama.

Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.

Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.

"Welcome to the club," said Robert Laszewksi, a prominent health care consultant and president of

No worries if the site is down. Here is what you will see when it's up:
Government to 30 year old middle class workers and their families: "You are too rich for Medicaid, but can't afford health insurance. We have the answer! For only an extra $500 to $900.00 per month that you don't have, we'll provide you with a policy with a $12,700.00 family deductilble that you also don't have and can't come up with if you get really sick. According to Progressives, that means Problem Solved! Aren't you happy now, crap?"

How come you're not worried about the baby boomers all applying for disability and costing America billions in fraudulent claims?

Because you hate black people more than you love America.
Good luck with that, teabagging maggot.

The baby boomers have paid in to the system for the most part. And since when do I hate blacks, nimrod? I have black friends, they even support Odumbo, but I still like them as people. They are a wonderful family and work very hard. What is your problem, don't like whites?

BCOW...every racist says they have black friends. How can you not? They are everywhere!!!! lmao Nice try though, teabigot.

Social Security is what we pay into and yes, if you paid into SS you should collect it after age 65.
We don't pay into disability. That's completely separate.
Boomers didn't save their $$$. They bought houses they couldn't afford, took trips they couldn't afford and now they are sucking the teat of the Government even though they are perfectly capable of working. These are the same people who claim black people are sucking on the same teat.

Talk about contraDICtions.

You have 6 months to sign up for Obamacare unless you are exempt. I am betting the Government website will be just as screwed up December, 31, 2013 as it is today. This is called fire, ready, aim!!! The Obama Administration in action!!

Nancy Pelosi still insists that Obamacare will improve the lives of average Americans, despite over 20 reports indicating otherwise.

"Because of the law, in the coming months Americans will have expanded choices and more affordable care." Pelosi said at a recent Capitol Hill briefing. "We will be enhancing patients' rights, putting money back in the pockets of consumers, reducing costs and strengthening the economic, financial, and health security of working families."

She goes further to say that Obamacare will even lower the nation's debt.

"The Affordable Care Act is bringing the cost of health care in our country down in both the public and private sector," said Pelosi. "And that is what is largely responsible for the deficit coming down."

But what she doesn't realize is that her numbers are flawed.

"Despite promises that the law will lower costs,[Obamacare] will in fact cause the premiums of many Americans to spike substantially," a report released by the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce concluded. "The broken promises are numerous, and the data reveals that many Americans, from recent college graduates to older adults, will not be able to afford the law's higher costs."

The report is based on responses from 17 insurance companies to a letter from Congress asking them to estimate the effects Obamacare would have on premiums and found that individuals in about 90% of all states would likely face "significant premium increases."

Furthermore, the committee found that some individuals may see premium increases up to 413%.

You do know that the baby-boomer generation was from 1946 to 1964? Right? Those weren't the people who bought too expensive of houses. It was the 30 somethings. Disability was using the SS division to fund it thanks to the likes of Pelosi. Now there is speculation that this program will be bankrupt. Great job the politicians are doing bleeding funds from paid for programs. Even the welfare reform act that Clinton signed was nothing more than moving career welfare recipients into SS so they wouldn't have the job seeking requirement that welfare insists you do in order to collect.

There is a Senate hearing scheduled tomorrow on a subject of some importance to millions of Americans, but with the government shutdown it's not clear that the Senate Committee on Government Affairs will be able to pay for a stenographer to record the event. The hearing involves the Federal Disability Insurance Program, which could become the first government benefits program to run out of money. When it began back in the 1950s it was envisioned as a small program to assist people who were unable to work because of illness or injury.

Today, it serves nearly 12 million people -- up 20 percent in the last six years -- and has a budget of $135 billion. That's more than the government spent last year on the Department of Homeland Security, the Justice Department, and the Labor Department combined. It's been called a "secret welfare system" with it's own "disability industrial complex," a system ravaged by waste and fraud. A lot of people want to know what's going on. Especially Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma.

Tom Coburn: Go read the statute. If there's any job in the economy you can perform, you are not eligible for disability. That's pretty clear. So, where'd all those disabled people come from?

Pennsylvania's attorney general recently warned of possible scammers seeking to capitalize on the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.

The warning from Attorney Gen. Kathleen Kane coincides with the recent opening of the federal health insurance "exchange," a web site to enable people to shop for government-approved health insurance plans.

The situation could bring a rise in financial, medical or insurance identity thefts, Kane said.

Kane further warned of fake websites intended to look like the federally-run site that directs people to plans available in Pennsylvania.

Kane advised:

Be wary of illusory government and company names claiming to help with enrollment, especially if they list a toll-free number other than that of the official help center. Enrollment is simply an option available to consumers, who will not be contacted by state or federal government in person or by phone, email or text.
Guard your personal information. If you get a call or email asking to verify personal information for any government health insurance plan or for a Medicare card, hang up the phone or ignore the email. You will not be contacted and Medicare is not a part of the marketplace.

So you just admitted you are a teabagger. Hypocrite liar.

During an online question and answer session, former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, took full credit for the start of the tea party and said the movement “was taken over by the Republican Party.”

As reported by LewRockwell.com , when asked what went wrong with the tea party, Paul replied:“The tea party was actually started during the Ron Paul presidential campaign in 2007 when there was a spontaneous money-bomb that was done on the anniversary of the original tea party.”

According to Boston.com , Paul supporters did organize a “money bomb” on Dec. 16, 2007 dubbed Boston Tea Party 07, timed to coincide with the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party
http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/08/26/ron-pa...

“The concept of the modern day Tea Party began on December 16, 2007 when supporters of Ron Paul’s presidential campaign came together and raised over $6 million online in one day. The tremendous success of that event led activists in the freedom movement and members of the Campaign for Liberty to begin planning today’s Tax Day Tea Parties.

As long as most Americans get up in the morning, go about their business, and see no changes in their lives, it doesn't matter how long the Government is shut down. Obama can do the dance, and no one will care. Boehner knows he has O one the run, or Obama wouldn't be offering a temporary solution. We need real solutions, not piecemeal stunts.
