Yes, and considering that undocumented illegals are exempt from the mandate, we are still picking up the tab.

According to an "understanding obamacare" website these people are exempt from the mandate.....People will be able to apply for exemptions to the tax penalty if

they have financial hardships,
religious objections,
if they’re an American Indian,
if they’re uninsured for less than three months,
if they’re an undocumented immigrant,
if they’re incarcerated.
Interesting.......... So...who's STILL paying for these individuals?

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska has hired temporary workers to deal with mistakes and problems with enrollment applications, which are trickling in from the state’s federally run health insurance exchange.

Under this phase of Obamacare, people without insurance must buy it or pay a penalty, and on Oct. 1, they could start shopping around for a plan on the Obama’s administration’s healthcare.gov . But the website been beset with glitches preventing most people from successfully completing applications for health insurance under Obamacare. Ten days in, Blue Cross had only received about four applications via the federal website in Nebraska.

But now the applications are beginning to come in faster, and the company received about 50 by Friday, according to Blue Cross spokesman Andy Williams.

Finally, some good Obamacare news, right? Well, sort of. The problem is, the applications are coming in with so many errors that Blue Cross has started processing them manually and contacting consumers directly, Williams said.

“All of the enrollees are being contacted to verify information because in many cases it is coming to us as inaccurate or incomplete,” he said via e-mail. A cost surely to be passed along to the consumer. Nice work Odumbo.

I thought the law for private businesses was that you can refuse service to anyone. What law says hospitals HAVE to treat illegals? Maybe you're confusing the Hippocratic oath 'do no harm' with actual law?

(CBS News) CBS News has uncovered a serious pricing problem with HealthCare.gov . It stems from the Obama administration's efforts to improve its health care website. A new online feature can dramatically underestimate the cost of insurance.

The administration announced it would provide a new "shop and browse" feature Sunday, but it's not giving consumers the real picture. In some cases, people could end up paying double of what they see on the website, CBS News' Jan Crawford reported Wednesday on "CBS This Morning."

This is true, hospital are obligated to stabilize patients. Congress enacted the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)[1] in 1986 to address the growing concern that hospitals were discharging patients before stabilizing them and refusing to care for poor people with medical emergencies. Although a general duty for hospitals to provide emergency care had been established a few decades prior to the passage of EMTALA, Congress believed that the common law rule, as well as various state statutes mandating care, did not go far enough to prevent “patient dumping” practices.

You're right. Patient dumping still continues. Every once in a while you'll see some poor person dumped into the street from a security camera and everyone is outraged and then it's forgotten. I would say repeal that law but getting this current Congress to do anything seems close to impossible. That movie "Deep Impact" was on the other day and that final scene where the President is speaking in front of what's left of Capitol Hill made me think...."at least they get a new Congress. Lucky people."

LOL. I agree. Two years ago, they took a valuable over the counter drug off the market and people have died because of the void it left. It was Primatene mist. The FDA refuses to move on the application to renew it's production with an alternate propellent. They have doctors claiming that the active ingredient is harmful, yet a cumbersome unit took it's place with the same active ingredient at 4 times the price. How novel. This is a real problem for folks like me with asthma that prescription type inhalers don't work for. It's just another item to add to the list of medical abuses.

Pretty sad when you have to convince the youth that health insurance allows them to be even more irresponsible....Two leftist groups in Colorado have highlighted the one major benefit of Obamacare for college kids: when you‘re done drinking yourself silly, you’ll have health coverage when you end up in the emergency room of your local hospital.

Progress Now Colorado and Consumer Health Initiative released this stunning ad this week and it’s generating plenty of internet buzz:

“Brosurance.”

The term’s much catchier than the full name of the law, formally known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. That’s a mouthful, so brosurance it is.

The groups told media outlets Tuesday that they need to reach out to young people to entice them to sign up for health care.

Sorry FOXbot. Bill Clinton caught and imprisoned ALL the men responsible for the first WTC attacks and most, if not all of them are dead now. Clinton became so obsessed with killing Bin Laden that his staff convinced him to tone it down. Too bad they weren't as smart as him. He knew bin Laden was a threat to our national security and he told Bush but Bush was too busy clearing brush and vacationing 879 days of his 8 year term, the most vacation days of any President in American history and worked more hours than any other modern day president. Clinton took the least vacation days and he left us with the strongest economy in decades. Bush left us with a recession and he gave up on finding bin Laden. Thank goodness President Obama had the balls to avenge the 3,000 dead Americans (and foreigners) that Bush felt weren't worth the trouble.
So in conclusion, blow job vs 9/11.
Of course you sexually repressed conservaturds think a blow job is worse that 3,000 dead. You don't live in the same reality as the rest of us. Your 24% approval rating is proof of that, isn't it?
Here you go ghetto party. This sounds like Clinton really thought Osama Bin Laden was a threat.

Albright noted that her cable was responding to bin Laden's recent statement "calling for all Muslims to engage in a holy war against Americans."

Sent to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, it contained helpful "talking points" for Embassy officials. Per Albright's instructions, they were to convey the following to the Taliban:

•"We find statements of this kind, open invitations to carry out terrorist attacks against innocent people to be outrageous and totally unacceptable."
•"We have discussed our concerns about Usama bin Laden's inflamatory (sic) remarks and anti-American rhetoric before. We were given assurances that negative actions like this would be curbed."
•"You should convey to bin Laden and his supporters in Afghanistan that this advocacy of violence is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
•"These kinds of statements by Bin Laden also reflect poorly on the Taliban, as he enjoys your hospitality."

Could you imagine how dismal the interest in Odumbocare would have been had it tried to be introduced during the prosperous years in the mid 2000's? No wonder Odumbo didn't focus on jobs, he needed a million or so people to be unemployed and under employed to generate NEED for odumbocare. It's quite nauseating!!!!

Looks like the FDA has pulled its head out of its arse and is now looking to limit hydrocodone based meds now that 75% of all drug overdoses are a direct result of prescription drugs. Not coke. Not crack. Not heroine. Not meth. Legally prescribed drugs.

Also, it's come to light that Dr.s are prescribing more drugs and the majority of the time it's the expensive drugs they are pushing because they get more money back from medicare for doing so. Sounds like your inhaler situation is a direct result of their greed and our governments stupid rules and endless waste of taxpayer dollars and all at the expense of the taxpayers. It's sickening, pardon the pun.

Obesity will cost us trillions in the future.
Doing nothing wasn't an option.
You know this. Enough with the
coulda, woulda, shouldas.

When the greatest country in the world
has the 27th best medical care in the
world, something's broken and it's not
President Obama. It's our bought-and-paid-for
Congress who are puppets for big pharm
and the insurance pirates.
