Still looking for that stimulus check

I should have recieved my check on the 9Th. i have direct deposit and i do not owe any back taxes. im still waiting. just like our goverment! they want money its "now", they owe us money its whenever! im out of oil and my fridge is empty. thanks IRS, ill remember this!

How do you know if you have direct deposit? Does it have to do with how you paid your taxes? I sent a check, so does that mean that I will get a check?

Who are they kidding, the check isn't worth the paper it is printed on, the govt wants you to think that they are giving back, when in reality, they will probably just raise taxes again next year, so essentially you are getting a loan, but you will be paying it back wih interest, and lots of it. It is no different than the price of gas, I want to puke every time I look at gas prices, if the govt dropped the price of gas nationally by $1.00 you would think that is a bargain, but in reality exxon/mobil is turning at least $14,000,000,000 per quarter in profit, until we as the taxpayers do something about all these liars in office, and they do something about the oil companies, this will never end.We are being driven off the cliff of recession and the car is being driven by our politicians, get the "oil man" out of the whitehouse, I also think it is time to cut foreign aid, our country is in a recession, why should we be lining the pockets of people who hate us anyway, who are probably using the money to assemble WMD's. Instead of giving free healthcare and education to the illegal immigrants, use that money for more armed border patrol to keep them out! I am not a hateful person, just someone who stays up at night worrying about my children's future.

You know that the money is only a loan you will have to claim it on next years taxes and pay it back to the government . they always have a way of sticking to the little people. but pay back is a *%$#@!*

It seems the government's "stimulus rebate schedule" on irs.gov was just a cruel joke.

I was supposed to get $900.00 I got $300.00 I called the IRS they told me the error was theirs and I have to file a 1040X amended return to get the money for my kids, I mean seriously, what the hell is that all about? I triple checked my return before I filed and had my Aunt look at it too to make sure everything was correct. I was looking forward to that money, my kids need sneakers, clothes, they are growing out of everything and now I am hearing I may have to wait until July and it will be a paper check wtf? I wonder who they hired to handle the data input of these returns because they majorly screwed up and I have heard from several friends and acquaintances, same thing, they were screwed out of most of their stimulus, I am beginning to wonder if this is a big joke, sometime to shut up the American people about high gas prices, rising cost of food, heating oil etc

I didnt get my check, either. it was suppose to be direct deposited on the 9th. I read somewhere that they had some "technical" difficulties if you filed your taxes through another agency and they took out money for their services...that's what is the hold up.

By the schedule you posted I was suppose to receive a check by 5/16/08, I have received nothing as yet.SO if your last two digits are 00 when should you expect a check?

According to my ss # and direct deposit of tax rebate; should have rec'd stimulus on the 9th. The IRS website can't answer where it is. A bummer. What agency can stimulate my stimulus payment?

I was informed by the IRS that since my filing fee was deducted from my tax return that I was going to be one of the last to receive the simulus check and that it would be sent to my home in check form. Good thing I didn't trust them to send it on May 9th like they said the first time.

here is another thing thats really been,bothering me ,i usually only vote for president,governor, and senator,well ,i allways go and vote,for president, in november,because as ive grown up that you vote,is a right,or a privledge,when you come of age to vote,but what has happened recently,with ,like hillary, bailing,out and others,and i dont never vote till, were allowed to in november,so like many others ,like the troops in iraq,and then the,veterins from the past ,its starting to make me wonder, what are we fighting for,their is no reason to vote now we dont even get the freedom to choose like people have all ready done in november....i love the country but when you haveso many home less people,and all the rich people, why cant, some of these help out more,people in need

It was supposed to be 600 bucks head of household, 1200 married couples and 300 additional for each child. I have no under age children but I only received 300 bucks instead of 600 head of household. And NO you dont have to report it on your taxes next year. But seriously who are they kidding this is OUR MONEY TO BEGIN WITH

Read the letter you got with the amount and stop spouting off miss information like a stupid know it All You do NOT have to claim it

Still waiting for my check - My frustration is how do you if you should just wait it out or did they screw up or did the mail man screw up

I FINALLY got my check today. We were supposed to get it by last friday. We got a notice last week that if we were supposed to get it, by Friday 7/11/08 and if we did not get it within 6WEEKS to call them. So Melissa, hopefully you got that notice in the mail, and if you don't get your check with "6WEEKS!" call them.
