I just started getting SS. I am taking it early at age 62. I am wondering about details about how earnings affect the benefits. I know about the for every $2 they take $1 (over their set amount which is around $15400 now). What SS is unable to make clear is how much will a persons benefit amount go up to take into account the amounts that are withheld. They guy that I talked to today said that it just runs through a computer program.(that's better than the last guy I talked to. He was telling me once the money is gone you don't get any back. That was wrong.)
