Again with the stupidity. So, let's say low skilled Sally applies for the job she really needs at McDonalds because she doesn't WANT to sit at home on her ass. But Sally is an American Citizen or maybe a legal immigrant. So that means they have to give her minimum wages AND pay taxes on her. Then here comes Maria Illegal, who is willing to work for less than the minimum wage, PLUS she gets paid under the table, saving Mr. Greedy Employer lots of tax money. Gee, who do you think will get the job? I hope you don't trust in Mr. Greedy Employer's integrity!

Use your brain, you useful fool. Not everyone in any society is going to be high level and educated. Some people can't be. Some people are ex cons who want to just get out of jail and on with their lives, people who don't necessarily have the social or intellectual skills to do more than manual labor. Why should they suffer and be called lazy because some illegal wants to come and work for less than the minimum, under the table, and STILL collect welfare?

BTW nice lie about being in law enforcement. If you were, you'd be well aware of how much crime they commit as a whole. You're too much of a rube to fool anyone. So quit lying.

The educated American voters rejected the anti-illegal rhetoric based on what it was: pure hate. In fact, the same Republicans that are jumping up and down against illegal immigration are then passing free trade bills: sending middle class American jobs to Australia, Central America, Morocco, and Singapore just in the past year. To make matters worse we are giving tax breaks to companies that are sending these jobs outside of our own country.
Instead, of arguing about illegal immigration let's start where the real problem is: free trade. No more tax breaks for sending middle class jobs to India. Also, let's be concerned with some legal immigration (notice a few people from India coming here legally and buying up small businesses?) Illegal immigration is not a threat as great as free trade and Indians buying up the American economy.
In fact, all that saw illegal immigrants are a strain on the country fail to realize that they do pay taxes just like anyone else (sales tax, federal fuel tax, property taxes which are passed from property owner to tenant). Furthermore, even if some are not paying income tax, most are not making an amount sufficient enough to require them to make payment. You should actually be happy since we don't have to be paying out more money for the child "welfare" credit.
A new generation of voters will ensure that the anti-immigration zealots do not succeed. The generation of the 50's and 60's grew up around hate, yet the newer generation has rejected it. Maybe if you anti-illegals become a little more educated and look at all aspects and not center in on just one, with unsubstantiated "facts," then maybe their could be real reform.
Next time your Republican member of Congress tells you how much he is against illegal immigration, then ask him why he just voted to send middle class American jobs overseas. That is the real strain on her economy and not illegal immigration.
