The threatened shutdown is just cheap political posturing by treasonous right wingers. These idiots have made it clear they do not care about the country and their only goal is to make sure that all of Obama's efforts fail!

Any Government shutdown would be due to Obama spending more than he was authorized. He agreed to spend only $973 billion more than we have. Evidently, he is insisting on putting all of us and our heirs even deeper in debt.

The federal deficit has shrunk to its lowest level since 2008, according to a report by the Congressional Budget Office.

Now, what were you saying?

Why do you care if the Republicans lose an election? You know it would make you very happy if Democrats were in office forever. The truth is the Republicans have already seen their internal polls, and know Americans are fed up with trillion dollar deficits, and unlimited debt. The Obamacare mess will effect the voters in 2014 shortly before they go to the polls. That is what the Democrats are really afraid of, and well they should be afraid.

It hasn't shrunk enough. It's still more than double than anytime in history, except during Obama's years.
You sound like you're satisfied that he is overspending slightly less than he's ever done.
I'm still dissatisfied with any deficit, let alone one that is more than twice what every other President has been able to work with.

Now, Obama is saying he needs even more. So, it is not yet a fact that the deficit is less than any time since 2008. If the House can rein in Obama during this last month, it is a likelihood, though.

I don't want them to shut it down for a day or two, I want the GOP to show backbone and shut down Government for a Month at the minimum.

Don't go into this at half measure. The way and pace of this time consuming rambling on the Senate Floor almost guarantees there is going to be some interruption in services. There's not going to be enough time for the house to react to the rejected proposal they sent over.

Harry Reid needs to take his time and move at a snail's pace.

I personally don't believe the Republican have the courage to shut down the federal government again. However, if by chance they do, then we can count them out as opposition in the last two years of this administration and the initial two years of Hilary's Administration.

You just copied and pasted this nonsense from an Oct 2012 post, this is the same delusional rants made before the Nov 2012 Obama second term Victory over Romney

All through that campaign the Republicans were saying the same things, claiming the election was going to be a nail biter, and it turned out to be a landslide over before the 11 o'clock news on the East Coast.

you guys are employing the very same delusional strategy..... ROFLM

You have no new ideas anywhere on much of nothing.

The Republican "internal polls" also told them Romney would trounce Obama. Their polling is based on 2% interviewing, and 98% wishful thinking.

Now, are these the same "internal polls" that showed Etchy was gonna win a landslide election last November?

The Rove/Morris polls?

LMAO !!!!!!
