Obama plan hits seniors and low-income taxpayers

Apr 6, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Asbury Park Press

President Barack Obama's proposal to change the way the government measures inflation could lead to fewer people qualifying for college grants and anti-poverty programs, reduced benefits for seniors and veterans, and higher taxes for low-income families.

Has everyone forgotten the Republican ALEC problems in the society from the Bush Sr presidency till today. The financial crisis along with the medical costs are on the republican ALEC dirty hands.

I think most seniors and disabled myself included would be on board with the chained CPI cuts if only they would eliminate all the fraudulent disabled, illegals on SSI, and means test so millionaires would pay more tax on SS income if they have substantial private retirement income. If no action is taken to reduce the rolls on people that have never contributed or fraudsters then I don't see anyone agreeing with the cuts.

As reagan said " I didn't leave the Democratic party, they left me!" obama is proof that there isn't a dome's worth of difference between the two fraudulent parties running this country! At one time we were proud that we took care of our elderly, disabled and handicapped but no more! Shameful!

This is a big hit on seniors particularly on people who rely solely on federal programs. I don't get it why he has to reduce the benefits of people who are in dire need of health care and long term care. He should prioritize these people and give them the support and benefits they need. If this goes on, people should start planning early and consider purchasing health insurance or long term care insurance. It's expensive in nature and that's why people should shop for long term care insurance online quote first. In this way, you can find an affordable policy that will greatly benefit them in the future. To get free quotes just visit http://www.ltcoptions.com/free-long-term-care... .
