No, the white house, aka Obama, is trying to learn how math works, checks and balances. He is clueless when it comes to trying to figure out how to get the deficit down. Stop spending!!! How hard is that, cut the food stamps, welfare, Medicaid. If the government cuts these entitlements a little each year, people will realize they need to work and give into the system instead of sucking it dry. Same with unemployment, cut it down every pay period and they will succumb to getting a job for less than what they think they are worth. Keep giving them money and there isn't an incentive to get a job. You don't have to be a genius to figure this out. I don't understand why this is such a taboo subject to talk about. If people get even a part time job, that would be revenue from taxes, not a lot but it will help. Take Obama's credit card on the American taxpayers away!!

the repubs should just rubber stamp everything obama wants, high taxes and no spending cuts. it will become apparent in short order that the european tax model will work here just like in commie france and muzzie UK. the overtaxed will flee with their money and revenues will fall requiring the low-middle class to have their taxes/fees raised. UK millionaires dropped from 16,000 to 6,000 in short order following the UK tax hike resulting in a 14billion dollar shortfall on taxes paid before the hike. the french millionaires are duplicating the UK exodus. obama trying to emulate the EU failures here will just find out that the US has more in common with greece than any other country. so let him have his way, it will be painful but eye opening to the liberal lemmings that voted the fool into power.

I seem to recall every Democrat in the Senate voted against Obama's budget proposal.

That makes me think Obama hasn't a clue as to what is realistic.

I see what you mean. The GOP could make the most outrageous demands (again) and Obama would cave and give them everything they ask for. Like I have said before, Obama should change his political affiliation to republican.
