The whole point of a hardship withdrawal is to get around the 10% penalty. Otherwise you would take a regular withdraw. I view these articles as biased for the financial companies. Seems they are spreading misinformation ("and 10% penalty of a hardship withdrawal"). Do some research. The message is always NEVER TAKE YOUR MONEY OUT as if there is never a good reason to use the money you have been saving (this simply can NOT be true). If you take a loan or withdrawal and use the money to buy other investments like rental realestate or a business etc then why is that not considered retirement investing? Because the money does NOT remain in their pockets (banks are collapsing they want to keep your cash). I've even seen them threaten having to pay back a whole loan amount when employment terminates and then watch as other co workers have repayment plans extended allowing them to continue payments after employment termination. Again they want your money. Bottom line, they are trying to keep you from taking your money out under the guise that they care about your best interests. I know there are people out there that will spend it on stupid consumption garbage and that aint smart. But it is a disservice to imply that there is NEVER a good reason to use the money you have been saving.

The majority of this mess is the fault of the individual who got himself into trouble to begin with. Why spend dollars when you are only making dimes? Why tap out all of your equity knowing that the housing market is very volatile? Learn to budget and act your WAGE!!

This is the first time I had ever applied for a loan. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the staff that answered any of my questions to the application process. Once this had all been completed the money was transferred quickly into my account. I will definitely be recommending 911PDAY .COM ( http://goo.gl/44kQUQ ) too my friends and family.
