Well marriage was created by religion, if you don't like the definition of marriage then go with the civil term of a civil union.
Assuming you are correct, which I don't, just which religion are you talking about? It certainly isn't Christianity which has only been around 2,000 years. Perhaps it's Hinduism, which has been around a lot longer, or maybe it's the cult of Isis from ancient Egypt, or perhaps it's the religion of Baal, one of the religions from the cradle of civilization. Be specific, Cletus!

Tell that to Christie. The New Jersey Supreme court said exactly the same thing many years ago, but Christie doesn't believe them.
That's Christie's problem!!!!

Really, since Eve was made from Adam's rib, she was technically his CLONE, which means Adam was screwing himself, but in Tennessee you'all are used to mating with close relatives, so, I see why your attraction to mating with a cousin, or closer is so attractive.

Oh, look a cowardly LITTLE liar agreeing with another cowardly LITTLE liar. How sweet that is. BUT, since you are both accredited liars, can even YOU believe each other's lies anymore?

Register and stop lying, cowards.

Being registered never stopped you from lying, did it?
I don't lie, Cletus. Why bother? I note you are too cowardly and too afraid to register for you have the hater's usual paranoia and fear that we may "get" you, as if anyone cares.

So, you admit it, you're afraid of us big mean old gays. I knew it. I just knew it. You are petrified of gays. Hey, little chicken. No wonder you like Chick Filet-A so much, you are a little chicken yourself. When you cracked out of the egg did your mom teach you to scratch for worms and bugs...little cowardly chicken. The FEDERAL government will recognize any legal marriage for tax purposes, regardless of the state you live in. That's already been settled. It does not matter if your state does not recognize your legal marriage.
And a wonderful bit of chaos that will be for states who ban same sex marriage - if they use the federal figures in their state forms.
Michigan does and just announced that married same-sex couples will now have a special worksheet that we'll have to do to calculate out "single" adjusted gross income.

What I'm curious about, though, is that our DOMA amendment bans the state from recognizing same-sex couples in any way, shape, or form. Is not requiring legally married same-sex couples to fill out a special worksheet in fact recognizing them in some way shape, or form??

The good news, though, is that forcing gay couples to file separately will, in many cases, preserve several tax credits that we wouldn't qualify for if our incomes were combined. In my case, my husband and I will be enjoying an extra $1,500 in tax savings that we wouldn't qualify for if our incomes were combined.

It's so nice of the bigots to give us a tax break so they can carry more of the state's tax burden. SO nice....
