Republican Senator McConnell rules out more taxes in fiscal fight

Jan 6, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Reuters

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Sunday ruled out raising tax revenues on top of the tax hike on the wealthy in the "fiscal cliff" deal, and said the full focus must now be on spending cuts to curb U.S. deficits.

I'm betting that the saboteur in chief in the White House doesn't get a blank check.
There are lots of others who won’t get a check either.
Federal workers won't get their huge undeserved taxpayer funded retirements.
Postal workers won't either.
The Social Security "trust fund" is empty, and Medicare has been raided to give big benefits to those who never contributed via the wonder of ObamaCare.
The true US debt, which includes many more unfunded liabilities than the examples noted above, is about $144 TRILLION.
That would equal 40 stacks of dollar bills that would reach the moon.
Every living breathing human in the US would need to contribute about $470,000 to the pile to pay the debt off. Since most US residents have a negative net worth, that won’t happen.
The reason the US debt will be downgraded shortly isn't because our borrowing limit is too low, it is because our spending and borrowing is too high.
SPENDING needs to be reduced, and significantly, but it won't be.
Obama may not be a traitor to this country, but regardless, his policies are destroying it.
Despite all the campaign promises (lies) that Obama told about reducing the deficit, he has done the opposite and has run up more debt than all other presidents COMBINED.
40 cents of each dollar he spends is BORROWED.
Face it folks, we are in for a major crash, as policies that have been inflicted are nearly to the point of no return.
The only reason we aren’t Greece already is that the US dollar is THE WORLD RESERVE CURRENCY.
That will be changing in the very near future unless dramatic steps are taken.
China is positioning itself to enable the Yuan to be backed by gold. Compared to the worthless US dollar, countries will demand actual (gold) value, rather than the “good faith” of the bankrupt US. Think about it – Would you loan money to someone so deep in debt that it would be impossible for them to pay you back?
The result will be anything imported will skyrocket in cost, as the dollar becomes a piece of paper.
If you disagree, you obviously are not much of a historian, as the going broke scenario isn’t new.
If you are an Obama supporter, go ahead and rant and then go back to sleep.
Obama will save you from certain death.
If you have a brain, realize that in the very near future, you will be on your own, your money will be worthless and there will be hoards of mostly Obama supporters willing to kill you for what you have.
To you, I would recommend that you make some preparations.

For the next four years McConnell's number
one priority will be to make sure that Obama is
only a two-term president.

He sort of blew the one-term thingy. Guffaw!

So it was okay when you wanted to reelect Shrub to a 3rd term, but not for the Dems?

22nd amendment or not, the person still has to get elected by an electoral college majority.....

Oh, I see, you're finally realizing the GOPasaurs can't win an electoral college majority anymore with their anti-women, anti-black, anti-hispanic, & anti-gay policies.

I have a problem with your last sentence. Why are women still paid less than a man working for Obama? Why do blacks and hispanics have the highest UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN AMERICA. Anti-gay policies - ALL Christians should be against this since it goes against GOD's word. Obama said he was Muslim so that is the reason he has no problem with it.

I have to admit that the potential exists to repeal term limits on the presidency. I have made the observation a few times in this space that Obama governs by unchallenged executive orders and that Congress has made itself virtually obsolete by following a script rather than serving its constituents. The checks and balances written into the Constitution were supposed to prevent this. We are on our way to totalitarian rule and the only people who don't know it are the morons in Congress.

Cathy McMorris Rodgers new republican congresswoman... key spokesperson in the debate over the Violence Against Women Act and the HHS contraception mandate. She's strongly pro-life, and her oldest child has Down syndrome. She's been responsible for recruiting dozens of other women with young children to run for office.

Kelly Ayotte is the junior senator from New Hampshire, one of only four female Republicans in the U.S. Senate. Like McMorris Rodgers, she is the mother of two and is married to a veteran; her husband runs a small business, which she helped launch before being elected.

Nikki Haley is the governor of South Carolina, a mother of two, the daughter of immigrants, and her state's first female governor and first Indian-American governor. Haley just made headlines for appointing Rep. Tim Scott (blacker than nobama) to replace retiring Sen. Jim DeMint

Susana Martinez was elected governor of New Mexico in 2010, making her the first Latina governor in U.S. history.

Not to mention in the background are several more including Condi Rice.........Phd.

Most democrats are of the same mold....tax more.....now spend more...spent too much.......tax more........spend more....uh

Change is coming, you just can't see it yet because the city parasites barely re-elected nobama....pffft. Blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

of a billion dollars in campaign propaganda ladled out to

Hillary is paid the same as Secretary of State as John Kerry will be paid for doing the same job.

It's the job, not the gender which determines their pay. Women tend to take jobs which pay less than jobs which men tend to take. Just as nurses are paid less than doctors. It has nothing to do with their gender, but rather the job itself. Men who are nurses make less than women who are doctors. Men & women who have the same relative experience, education, & ability doing the same basic job are paid about the same.

Blacks & hispanics have the highest unemployment because most employers are white and tend to hire other whites.

Your magical sky-god creature has no bearing on civil law.

Many of your fellow moronic Texans had been on here whining that Shrub couldn't run a 3rd term.

If Hagal were running for an elected office then I would oppose him, but as is he follows the orders of the President.

Yes, the GOP got a couple of token Uncle Toms & Auntie Marias to show how diverse they are. They know their place and know just how far they'll be allowed to go. Notice how white Romeny did't pick one of those multitudes of people of color in the GOP for his running mate? Nope, he picked yet another pastie white dude.

Oh yeah, blacks are going to start voting GOP any day now........
And hispanics are going to support the party which wants to deport their family, friends, relatives, neighbors, and coworkers.......

Keep dreaming of your white powerhouse days. Texas will go Democrat by 2020 thanks to an increasing hispanic population.

But you said change was coming THIS year?!

Now it's been moved back to 2016?

And when Hillary is elected in yet another electoral vote landslide I imagine your magical "change" will be moved back to 2020.

Oh, but then Hillary will be reelected, so I guess that moves it back to 2024.

Thank you. My daughter sent me this link this morning. I have facetiously commented that since Obama bypasses Congress by means of executive orders, he would be likely to declare himself king. By eliminating term limits on the presidency, we are looking at a change of government from a democratic republic to a dictatorship. Because it has been done so incrementally, we have allowed the federal government to chip away at the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. Recenet legislation, beginning with the Patriot Act violate one or more of the freedoms outlined in the Bill of Rights. The proposal mentioned in your link could easily be patched into a bill that would be stupidly passed by stupid legislators who do not read the bills they pass.
