Even though I know Obamacare sucks and Obama himself has messed everything up-I think Republicans should listen to Mitt Romney on this an not Marco Rubio.

Willard "Mitt" Romney is also protecting his legacy. He created and implemented Romneycare in Mass. Obamacare is Romneycare. Only it applies for the entire United States. It's a conservative health care plan that the wealthy are using to convince poor conservatives to vote against their own interest. We all know that Romney would have said anything to get elected. He's not running for office now.

obama will get his way and will just threaten that a shutdown would stop the SS and VA benefits like he threatened last time he thought he wouldn't get his way. mind you his threat last time only threatened SS and VA. NOT food stamps, welfare, section 8, medicaid, unemployment payments. even he knows he can't crap on his voter base, but seniors and veterans are fair game. just wait for it, he'll trop the same threat out again.

Romney would have let the auto industry die and probably would have figured out a way to make a buck on their failure so he could send it to the Cayman Islands and never pay a dime in taxes.

You're an idiot along with the 47% of the country who voted for that cultist.

I don't know if Romney would have let the auto industry die but we only need one domestic auto company in America. And that is to retool for our endless wars. Soon enough China and India will be here with vehicles and that will just about do it. It feels so good to let this stuff go. When someone screws you over enough, ph uk em!

If Republicans fail to do well in next years elections, it will be because the party is broken. Many voters have left the party. If they can't compromise and get along with each other, how would anyone expect them to work across the aisle and improve our democracy? We have a failed government right now and I doubt even Hillary could fix the mess of this democrat administration. Besides, I doubt she is up for the task when her handling of Benghazi seems to be about "What difference does it make" comment. So I urge the tea party to not make so many threats to shut down government but come up with fixes that all Republicans can agree on and work with democrats to make it happen. Right now I don't see a lot of hope for the country because I don't see much hope for the Republicans to get their stuff together. We need a strong but smaller government. One that can act on the fact that they are one of us and are required by the Constitution not to pass laws they have no intention on abiding by themselves.

They tried it w/ Prez Clinton and he waited them out..Gingrich folded and worked a deal before you could say medicare, the Prez cant run again after this term anyway (he's a lame duck) so the house wont be able to do anything in a shutdown but the Exec Branch will have more power-even Rmoney knows this will hurt the GOP in the next elections..make sure Congress doesn't get their benefits either!

Use Prez Clinton's methodolgy, it works!-the Southern Republican States are a higher percentage of government benefits and entitlements..I like Politics!

Just so you know. President Obama does not shut down the government. Congress does. Congress wants the president to repeal Obamacare. If he does not comply with their wishes the republicans in the house won't vote to fund the government. The president is not going to repeal Obamacare. President Obama is not threatening to do anything. President Obama is making Americans aware of the Hose republicans plan.
