Economic stimulus payment schedule

The Internal Revenue Service announced Monday that it will begin sending more than 130 million economic stimulus payments.

are the paper checks on schedule or faster? Does anyone know?

I don't know about the checks what I would like to know is if anyone else that has filed with Turbo Tax has recieved the e-mail from them saying that because I chose to pay them from my tax refund the government has decided to send the stimulus check thru the mail. TRUST WASHINGTON TO BREAK THEIR PROMISES!!!!!!!!!

I received the e-mail from turbo tax saying that I will be getting a paper check.

They didn't break their promise. When you chose to pay Turbo Tax from your refund, that gave the IRS two places to send money from your refund, one to a Turbo Tax account and one to your account. To ensure that you get the stimulus money and avoid the possibility that it might go to Turbo Tax, the IRS is mailing it to you. You will still get the money.

It would have been nice if Turbo Tax informed taxpayers of this in the beginnig, for those of us who were counting on the money.

What if you went through HR Block and they took the money out of your refund....are they sending those in the mail too?

Yea right....where is my stimulus package...????? I have filed in feburary and the schedule said it will be directedin my account on may 9th..now its may 18th 9 days later still have not got my stimulus package. I actually work for a living ... pay my taxes...and threw 11 yrs of military service. This is how I get treated. But for people who collect welfare checks and food stamps cause they dont fee like getting their fat butts off the couch and look for a job gets all the handouts...

I also filed back in Feb. had them put in my bank account, from their schedule I should have got mine dep. May 9 but here it is the 18th and of course it is not there!!! thats our goverment! I'm a single mom trying to make ends meet,not very nice of them to say you will get it, but you don't.

My husband and I received a letter from them last week stating that our money would be direct deposited by the 16th. His SS ends in 00 by the way, so we are already a few weeks behind. Regardless, no deposit was made in our bank account.

I wonder why they spent all that money sending out letters telling us when we would get it, when it didn't happen? Maybe instead of putting a time line on it, they should have just said "you will get your money between this date and this date" then you'd be pleasantly surprised when it did come and some people wouldn't be spending it before they have it.

Check out The IRS Web sight at www.irs.gov

There is a link to determine the status of your stimulus payment on there. If you have any tax liens they will apply this to your outstanding balance. I know two people this has happened to.

does anyone know how it works with child support? my husband has a daughter, and some rearages. we filed injured spouse, yet they still took our taxes (both of ours) and 1044 out of the 1200. what are the guidelines to this? his babys mom obviously didnt have an issue with the extra 1000, and stated that i am just as responsable for the child as they are. can i get some type of step parent rights?

I believe you should have filed seperatley from your husband," married filing seperatley". yea why are you paying for support how come you are reponsible for support, you didnt have the child..Hello is the babys mom stupid, did you somehow take part in the sex of having the kid.I'm totally with you on that...

are you really suprised? you will get it at some point, but for now "the check's in the mail"

what if you use H&R Block taxcut? had your refund direct deposit, but use your money to pay the fees and not from your taxes. will you get a paper check or direct deposit.
