Regardless of weather someone is or isn't a smoker, this is equal to the idea of taking away someone's right to vote or a poll that can be easily swayed to one opinion by a silent majority. If enough people don't like what someone is doing other people can stop them from doing it. That's very wrong

If they would stop the people from drinking in public housing it would solve a whole lot more problems, ie. passing out with a lit cigarette for one.

Then there's the junkies...

You're looking for a problem that might not be there. If she's giving them a hard time about smoking by making it a public issue, the landlords could be giving her a hard time about paying the rent. However that's just one possibility

Say what? This public-housing broad has money for a luxury (cigarettes) but not for a necessity (housing). The taxpayers are funding her necessity (housing) so that she can afford a luxury (cigarettes).

You don't have many home rights when you're not the one paying for your own roof. It's like with a kid living in his parent's home. Wanna smoke inside, pay for your own market-rate private-landlord apartment.

You should look up information on how many fires have been started [IN DAYTONA BEACH] where fire officials have claimed it was a case of arson. No more information was released after they claimed it was an investigation. It's the government of Daytona beach wasting taxpayers money by destroying properties. It's fire department officials that receive oversized pensions while still working for the city, that sweep these arson investigations under the rug. Then take away the residents right to do something. They are typical of making difficult for the residents.

This has Nothing to do with smoking! Based on the governments reputation this will become a city issue for H.U.D. perhaps to the point where if anyone is caught smoking inside of their apartment, they will pay a fine. That can supplement their income between raising taxes, the same way that toll rates were raised after, making a shorter driving distance on the beach & not addressing safety issues properly. It's not off topic to mention these things it's about creating false reasons for revenue to steal the money!! And taking away the right to speak. Reminding someone that they have 2 min and 20 sec. left on a three minute speaking rule it's BS.

You've already pointed out the people you don't know are living hand to mouth. You've already compared them to somebody that lives in their parents basement, how hard do you want them to have it before you fix your problems? You don't even know them. This was started by a woman who has a difficult time getting out of her apartment because she is confined to a wheelchair! It isn't just about Marsden!

Oh no! Confined to a wheelchair! Just like the IT Manager was at a company I used to work for. The guy made around $80K/yr, in a wheelchair. Being confined in a wheelchair certainly sucks, but that alone doesn't excuse you from being a self-supporting person.

The money going for smokes should be going for their necessities before taxpayer dollars kick in. Taxpayer handouts should be reserved for those truly unable to feed and house and clothe themselves, not for someone to have extra $$ lying around each month for smokes/booze/movie theaters/whatever.

A reported $10.5 million spent on the Daytona Beach pier while it remained inactive= spent by the government courtesy of the tax payers.$2.5 [not 1.5. million] wasted on the American Music Festival courtesy of the tax payer!$40 million dollars spent on Hog's on the Hill 83 million dollars spent on the Ocean center that wiped out an entire neighborhood. Dozens of $30 thousand dollar studies spent on plans and improvements that went nowhere! You have no idea how this government has wasted money. You're just an idiot that's concerned about a pack of smokes!

Just another way for the gubmint to control what you do. It's time for a revolution. The people need to take back what's theirs. This is supposed to be a government OF the people, FOR the people and BY the people. Instead, we have a government OVER the people, FOREGETTING the people and BOUGHT BY the corporations.

Look you hick retard, the article is about a public housing broad with enough money for smokes but not for her own rent. The other crap you listed is off topic.

If somebody mentions something that isn't true, would you believe it... maybe not. If three people mentioned the same thing you would start to believe what they were telling you is the truth. It's obvious by your comment! The Daytona Beach News Journal is used to determine where the lies are coming from! It's USED... to wrap fish. You don't know this government. The Housing Authority is a government run agency !
