My ss# ends in 15... They said the 2nd and I have nothing yet... anyone in the same boat? I'm not too worried about, just would like to know what's up..

Use the "GW bone" for necessities if you must. Otherwise, don't spend it. Ideally, spend it on American products, but we have blurred the line beyond recognition to actually know what a true "American Product" is anymore. Americans need meat, not a calcified scrap borrowed at OUR OWN EXPENSE. Nothing like getting something for free that by slight of hand will be paid back three-fold. What bowel binding equivalent will given be next?

This chump change could have been used to create jobs. "Energy Jobs" would have been a good start. Jobs that would have given people in despair a reason to look forward to a better future. Not to spend the "we care package" @ the local big box store on a product that is imported. Keep the $$$ here. If you believe in this bs "Stimulus package", stimulate the economy in this nation.

I called the IRS and was told because I paid someone to do my taxes it will come in a paper check, and also I got a letter stating I mixed up or they mixed up the taxes in 06 and I should have paid in stead of getting money back, I have until the 14th to sign the paper and get it back to them, hopefully they don't take my check but oh well if they do its less that I will owe.

But have you notice more things are coming out of the wood works lately about bills and everything ow since these checks are coming out? I have gotten bills from people I forgotten about and things are falling apart around me.

HA HA stimulus check.... what a joke we recieved ours and for a family of three only received 600.00 dollars.... what happened to the 1200.00 for a couple and 300.00 for each dependant..... this will not help anyone...

FYI,

On IRS.gov it NOW states that anyone that had their tax preparation fees deducted from their return or had a rapid refund type deal will not get their check direct deposited, it will come in a paper check.

I just heard that these checks are actually
being mailed out a week ahead of schedule.Any
truth to that?

that they are a week ahead but to plan on the
posted mailing date

That is really strange. My husband and I received the $1200 for couple and my son received $600 for single. I would go to www.irs.gov and contact them on why your rebate was only $300, doesn't seem right.

My office-mate received his on Friday and it was supposed to be mailed out on Friday. So, I would say that yes, they are ahead of schedule. Whether it stays like that is a different matter entirely.

Yea thats another good Question,,if the x,has back child support over 15 thousand $$$$..does he get a check??and hes on welfare or disabliity,,something like that,,,OR is it for all of US THAT HAVE A JOB AND WORK?????

From what I have read...any person owing back child support, will not get a check.(if their arrearages exceed the amount of the rebate check,otherwise they will get the remainder). My ex owes arrearages as well....so that money should be directly applied to child support, from what I have read. Don't quote me, but I think that is how it is.

Boy,that would be great,,it would top the 48.00 a month he pays,cause thats the minum,,back support is way over 35 thousand,i looked at my paper after i wrote in,,,getting anything is better than nothen,,we figured out ,,he will be in his 80s,,if he contuines to pay 48 a month,,,funny isnt it!!!and yes ive been to court,,so there is no help anymore...

WOW> your ex owes way mor than mine. But it still s.ucks when the support isn't there regardless of the amount. I look at it the same way..some is better than nothing at all:) Why can't these 'men'( I use the word loosely) own up to supporting their children? Also, I know all about the court thing...it does not help. They just continue to let him slide on by. Good luck though.
