"We expect these improvements will help us draw even more businesses to our Allentown location, and help us to become the epicenter for manufacturing and innovation in the Lehigh Valley," Unger said.

It is expected to attract another $350,000 in private investment and create 46 jobs, according to Scott Unger, executive director of the Allentown Economic Development Corporation.

"Small businesses are driving our economy," Pawlowski said. "We have seen our economy here in the Lehigh Valley transformed from one that was highly based on large manufacturing plants that has over 10,000 small businesses."

As the Arena and other projects are about to "kick off", the mayor is concentrating on the overall picture of success for his city. Folks, we are in good hands and soon Allentown will be a place EVERYONE is proud of and the ones who don't live here will want to or live in jealousy towards us. We are witnessing history, and it's happening in a short amount of time conducted by Ed Pawlowski, if you like it or not.
