Homeboy,
Yes, it is her business that she was a lobbyist, but she actively lobbied to keep the cable monopoly in MO and AT&T out to pad the pockets of the cable industry. You said she isn't an "evil lobbyist" as she's portrayed to be. Do you know what a lobbyist is? Lobbyists aren't out there to help the common good. Can you tell me what she's done for our community other than keeping our cable and internet bills high?

It seems to me that she got a taste of how sweet the lifestyle can be for politicians willing to be wined and dined by lobbyists, that she wanted to try it out for herself! Holly Rehder is bought and paid for. Bill might not win Mr. Popularity, but at least he thinks for himself.

Sounds like you are one who got charmed by her big smile and even bigger tits. Political office is not a Beauty Contest or Homecoming Royalty, but our chance to pick the person who will actually do something for us and not just listen to the ones with the most $$$.

If she is for keeping charter competition free I will definitely not vote for her. They have needed competition for years now. They are greedy and completely out of control, one of the few businesses who don't even give discounts to the elderly and disabled. That is just sad when you consider that you cannot even get local news and weather now without a digital signal. I don't think Emerson has ever had the best interest of this area at heart either. So whoever I can vote for to equal a vote against her I will!

There is as much competition in cable in Sikeston as there is Paducah, St Louis or Chicago, it is called the dish and DSL. Did she lobby in those states too or does that mean she had nothing to do with that?

Truthfully though dish & direct are not "competition" for cable. Their reps will tell you that the internet is not reliable, that you lose your reception on cloudy days all together, not to mention they keep dropping channells left and right. Also many of the elderly people I work with are poor, they don't have credit cards therefore the only option they have is cable.

Know Josh well. Known him long time. Meanest SOB I've ever met. Will attak his opponents, for sure. It may work for us, or it may backfire.

I have known Josh for a long time as well. He is committed to helping SE Mo grow and prosper. He is very smart about the legislative process and will work hard to represent his district in Jeff City.
