We also have seen the fruits of President Obama's policies. He has failed in what should have been the most essential task: getting the economy back on track. Instead, we have an economy that is barely grinding forward and not generating a sufficient number of jobs to keep pace with population growth. The result: Unemployment was stuck over 8 percent for 43 months, the longest such stretch since the Great Depression, and it's even worse in California, at 10.6 percent.
