The biggest problem a small business has is that they can only screw their own customers. Big business, like government, can screw their customers, their suppliers, their vendors, and their employees..

The other problem is that most customers aren't worth having anyways. The country is in a downward shit spiral and it isn't going to get any better until the lowlifes are all dead and gone.

Your problem is that you think small businesses are out to screw someone. 90% are in it to make a honest decent living off of what they know how to do. If you think the business your dealing with is trying to screw you then take your business somewhere else.
When you see the bottom line price and you think , man they make alot of money. You have to figure in materials, labor, fuel, insurance, self employment Tax, advertisement,electricity, heat, water, property tax, upkeep, workmens comp, just to name a few costs.
most small businesses operate on about a 5%-10% profit margin today

just the opposite bottom line breath. My point is that a small businesses' success can hinge on the whim of its customers...it can have the best product and the best intentions but a fickle clientele can sink it. Big chains have multiple outlets... some may do 200% and another 50%... A shiteating clientele can ruin the best . Big business can spread it arounf and have more purchasing power and leverage to shaft everyone. I am pro small business 100%... i am just sharing some reality,
