Pension deal reflects Democratic, union ties
#1 Sep 3, 2012
Whew. That was a close call. If Brown hadn't
been elected we wouldn't have been able to ignore the unsustainable, unaffordable, over promised pension schemes later.
We would have had to MAN UP and handle the mess we voted to create rather than dumping the fiscal collapse on our kids. That would have required way more compassion and integrity than we could muster Jerry Brown's California.
Better to just let the Muni Bankrupcy Judges take the pensions apart one City at a time. Take the band aid off slowly so it hurts more and causes more chaos and civic unrest.
Never solve a problem today when you can ignore it, make it way worse, and push it off on your kids and grand kids. Ya..that's the ticket.
Very Progressive. Very Obama.
