John Whalen allegedly steals $108,000 or so of taxpayer money and he is arrested and disgraced.
That is a mere pittance to what Mayor Doofus Ryan and Terrible Teri Rennia have done to Binghamton. Their incompetence have cost us over A HUNDRED AND THIRTY MILLION DOLLARS and counting through their mishandling of the sewage treatment plant, the botched Regency Hotel sales, the demolition of the O'Neil/Ross Building, and the unneeded Roundabout.
Who has done the greater harm?
It is clear that Ryan and Rennia are the ones that should be arrested!!!!

It looks like our OP's drug and alcohol induced memory loss has returned with a vengeance - either that or he is simply off his meds again... at least he hasn't been arrested again for his antics - or has he ?!
Anyway and since he started yet another of these threads of his and as a reminder to those who missed the earlier iterations...
a) The OP seems to forget that the treatment plant collapsed due to the faulty design and construction done under the prior administration... faulty design and construction that it was discovered would have required the tear down and reconstruction of the phase 3 segment anyway... to the tune of 10's of millions of dollars i.e. I believe I OP pegs it at 60 million or so...
b) It was the prior administration that defaulted on the Regency and dropped it in the current administration's lap... and other users have already previously linked documents and news stories outlining the situation including how the prior administration actually tried to "sell" the place under the table to political friends...
c) While our OP and similar might find the concept of a round-about confusing - though I would think they would like such things considering their own circular arguments... the reality is that the section of road(s) in question had been neglected for years and were in dire need of repair... given the choice of having the city pay to repave / repair everything on the local tax payer's dime or using the DOT plan and funds i.e. for the round-about... the administration chose the latter... so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree i.e. I think that was the best route while the OP thinks it would have been best if the citizens of Binghamton had footed the entire bill themselves...
d) Whalen was caught by the current administration but it seems that he had been stealing for years... unfortunately the prior administration's record keeping was so bad i.e. even worse than the current one's - that they couldn't definitively prove it and bring charges against him for that other money...
Either way I am appalled that the OP seems to think that the theft of more than $100K is a "mere pittance"...
Last but certainly not least...
No one is or has said that the current administration has done everything right... and most of us agree that there are definitely things they could have done much better... but I and dare I say most other sane people find the OP's fixation on Ryan and attempts to re-write history to be disturbing to say the least...

I wish the facts were important to the proper poster.

I would love for Ed to explain on where he came up with the $130,000,000 figure from. No doubt, he came up with that during a drunken stupor or worse.
You also got to love the way Ed is trying to link Rennia to Ryan and Ryan to the problems created or exacerbated under former Binghamton Mayor Richard Bucci. In his warped mind, this probably helps out his guy Rich David. Unfortunately, the facts do not help out Rich David.
Rich David was part of the administration that gave out no bid contracts to Libous's buddies that oversaw the faulty Phase III construction of the sewage treatment plant. He was also part of the administration that did essentially nothing about the Binghamton Regency except try to sell it to some politically connected friends for way under market value. I don't think Rich David will operate City Hall any differently.
Things were not great under Ryan, but they will be worse under David (unless you are politically connected insider/friend of Libous).
