Romney and the 47%: Part of the same tax problem

Full story: Fortune 16
We've been hearing endless yammering lately about two seemingly unrelated things: that 47% of U.S. households don't pay income tax, and that Mitt Romney paid a lower effective tax rate on his $13.7 million of 2011 income than most American workers pay for just Social Security and Medicare. We don't really KNOW how much he's been paying in recent years, of course, since he's hiding all but his last two years of returns. Why, Mitt? What's on those returns that's so damaging? The American people want to know!

Romney has in fact released his taxes..He has given more to charity in one year the Biden has in 10 years and more then Obama as well. Why is it considered greedy to want to keep your money and it isn't greedy when the government demands it in taxes! No one should have to give 50 percent of what they make in taxes to a government who spends so foolishly! We don't have a tax problem, govt has a spending problem. At least Romney has a plan to close loop holes on corporations but protects the middle class and small business from crippling tax hikes. I want to see Reid's taxes now ! Lets see Obama and Bidens back as far as Romney has released his.

Of course he hasn't released his taxes, not more than the two years absolutely required of him. And it was apparent that he threw a whole bunch of money at charity in order to make his tax rate look higher.

He should give 75% OF HIS MONEY to the government, given what a thief and liar he is. Let's see you say something intelligent for a change.

Was it not Ronald Reagan who said back in June of 1985 that the rich should pay their fair share in taxes!?

I've paid taxes for longer than you've been alive, puke. Half of that 47% are dumbass reTHUGlicans who contribute nothing to America, get money back from the government they claim to hate, vote for imbeciles ever 4 years, and pound their little fists on forums like this at every opportunity.

Sickening how you lick the boots of the wealthy class. Do they toss you their table scraps, boy?:)

Judging by your poor grammar and limited writing abilities, you yourself are stupid, poor, and contributing nothing to the federal government - or to America, generally.

Do you live on a trailer on a hillside, stump-jumper?:)
