One critical issue I don't see addressed here -- how do the appraisals on those homes stack up to fair market value at the time? Lenders typically have considerable discretion in "guiding" the results of an appraisal and the vast majority of the time are responsible for engaging the appraiser. Since Senator Dodd was refinancing, I'd like to understand how much additional equity he recognized as a result of these deals and potentially skewed valuations.

Here is some interesting news Dodd's wife was the former director of an AIG controlled company. No wonder he included that amendment back in February to save AIG bonuses.

Why am isn't ConnPost finding this info?

Obama should do something about Dodd and Frank.
He should have Jesse "Cut their nuts off".
No, seriously. He should make examples of these criminals.

Anyone notice how not one person defended Dudd. Lets hope all of you, me included, get out (literally) and visibly campaign against Chris Dudd - out in the streets, bus tours to his home, rallys, signs, etc. and get this lying cheat out of office. Send him packing back to Iowa, or Ohio, or where ever it was he re-located to before.
