We'd be fine it we'd stop giving trillions of dollars in benefits to illegal aliens every year. That's what bankrupted CA.

RE: Stephen Harper warns of fiscal 'runaway train' in U.S.
..... If there is a positive feedback in any system always be VERY careful as to where this will lead to, and what the limits are. Harper is a trained economist, and his warnings related to the economy should be very carefully listened to by very many! Also those by the governor of the Bank of Canada! A system has positive feedback if it gets better because it did get better, and/or if it gets worse because it did get worse.
..... What is important is what did those illegal aliens do with those trillions of dollars? Did they spend most of it in the country of their birth or in the country they now live in?
..... The economy's good health depends on there being always sufficient total spending per unit of time, never mind who spends it, nor where did they get the money with which to do their spending.
..... Stopping giving trillions of dollars - what would be the result of that? It could be disastrous for very many! Many storekeepers depend on getting enough people to buy and buy and buy! To do that they need money, money, money!
