They are too big to fail. Your dollar is your vote for the future and one size does not fit a future of individuals with different goals.

North Mississippi Health Services props up Bancorp and Renasant and we can see that the hospital is currently having some financial problems.

The economy of Tupelo might be compared to the many homes in Tupelo being sold with fresh new plastic siding stapled over rotting clapboard and plastic bath fixtures glued to rotting floors and walls. They make it look good on a walk through but if you buy in you'll be disappointed. But you will be stuck with the mortgage.

They lay people off because they enjoy seeing pain? They got caught cheating medicare and had to pay. But the DJ will not give bad news about advertisers.

Exactly, Rob. The Daily Urinal's board is part of the 'good ole boy' network that rules Tupelo. BXS, NMMC,...... Look around. Check the names on the boards of the major banks and corporations here. Then look at the names at CREATE and CDF.
Tupelo is ruled by a group of less than a dozen men whose deep pockets are filled with the money from the people in town who sweat for a living and are too busy and too tired to look behind the headlines of the Daily Urinal.

I've known people affiliated with the hospital for 3 decades and layoffs have been a normal thing all through that time.

Medicaid has been a gold mine for NMMC but the current partisan loggerhead in Jackson has resulted in Medicaid benefits being drastically cut in an effort to punish Democrats/blacks. The local hospital refused to fall in line with the former governor's proposal to tax hospitals for their profits from Medicaid so the current governor kicks 2 opponents in the groin at the same time.

Let the poor show up at the ER and walk off without paying the bill-says the governor. And then when the rural hospitals begin to fail and close the governor can blame the situation on Barrack Obama. And most of Mississippi will fall for the governor's trick.......... The governor is truly a smart man. The state would benefit greatly if he worked for us and not for his big donors.

And maybe BXS can see a benefit worth taking the hit at NMMC. The Daily Urinal will only tell us what the board at CREATE and CDF approves.
