What are they going to do, take all this taxpayer money and lay off another few thousand people anyway? You know what, Congressmen and other Washington officials? Personally, as a taxpayer, I'm getting tired of this c.r.a.p. I want you people, on my behalf, to tell these corporate sleazebags that if they want one more G-damned dollar of public bailout money, they will not be permitted to lay off anymore people without documented cause.....PERIOD!

I want you people,*MY* representatives and other public officials, to drive this hard bargain on my behalf. And don't take 'NO' for an answer!

Don't forget the credit cards that BOA was giving the illegals also. Remember how they justified it by saying they were not in the law enforcement business. Funny how you and I and every American taxpayer are now in the bailout business.
Bank of America SUCKS! They ripped me off to the tune of at least $800. by lying to me, and then playing dumb.

They do not deserve to get $20 billion. Their evil ways got them in trouble.

Those who receive the federal bailout need to stop hoarding the money. They are taking the money and sitting on it instead of investing in the national economy. Reason, of course, they are hoarding is because the economic climate is odious. They figure it's best to sit and wait with the bailout money until economic times improve. That way they could turn a sizeable profit. No reason to take chances after a financial pounding. They are being way too conservative and are doing nothing for the public, the taxpayers. Stipulations need to be written into the federal bailout and require those who get bailout money to "lend" it. This will jumpstart the economy. Right now the credit freeze has only thawed slightly. Not enough. Banks need to lend. On their behalf, however, there needs to be more transparency for banks to feel safe to lend.

Cuz Bush caused the problem with his failed economic policies.
It is the liberal Democratic policy of forcing banks to make loans to people they know aren't qualified that got us here. Think Bill Clinton, Chris Dodd and Barney Franks. What exactly do you think a 'toxic' loan is? It is simply one that won't be paid back! Banks were forced to make thousands of these, sued in fact to force them to make bad loans to illegal immigrants, minorities with no way or intent to pay back, etc.
Your boy Obama was the lawyer for some Hispanics that sued Bank of America. He knows exactly why we're here. It is called the Community Reinvestment Act.

Bank of America just put up billions for Merrill Lynch and now needs billions for a bailout?

Something here stinks worse than Aunt Mildred's bloomers.

Associated Press

A Muslim scholar chosen to speak at President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural prayer service Wednesday is the leader of a group that federal prosecutors say has ties to terrorists.

Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America, is one of many religious leaders scheduled to speak at the prayer service at Washington's National Cathedral.

Mattson has been the guest of honor at State Department dinners and has met with senior Pentagon officials during the Bush administration. She also spoke at a prayer service at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Mattson, who was elected president of the society in 2006, is a professor of Islamic studies at Hartford Seminary in Hartford, Connecticut.

But in 2007 and as recently as last July, federal prosecutors in Dallas filed court documents linking the Plainfield, Indiana-based Islamic society to Hamas, which the US considers a terrorist organization.

and what about the banks that performed well and MADE $. what do they get. the banks that gave money out as if it were free get bailed out and ther banks that took the conservative approach and made a low steady income get nothing... hmm...it's similiar to the squirel who puts all the nuts away for the future and plans for winter and the other squirel who runs around and has fun then winter comes and they BOTH get to eat???
same with people who struggle to do what they have to to pay their bills, sacrifice time away from home, to work 2nd job...then they people who lived way to high on the hog and spent all they had without puttin any away...they get bailed out with govt funds to restructure their mort and file bankruptcy etc....
something ain't right here !!!!!!!
What is worse is that is what Obamas campaign is all about. He ran on a campaign of taking money from hardworking americans who have worked long hours and multiple jobs to get ahead, and giving their money to those who don't even pay income taxes in the form of a tax rebate. If a politician ran a campaign based on penalizing one group and giving to another, usually most people would call that discrimination and civil rights violations, Obama and his friends call that change you can believe in.

Dear Congress,
I bought a house almost exactly one year ago from someone who owned a small business and it tanked. The house was going into foreclosure and I got a sweet deal. Unfortunately, those people had to move out of the house they owned for 20 years and now the couple is getting divorced.
I ask you to please give these people free money too. It's not that I care about them...I'm just REALLY SICK OF GETTING OVERDUE BILLS AND COLLECTION NOTICES SENT TO MY HOUSE FOR FIVE DIFFERENT PEOPLE CAUSE THOSE A$$HOLES DIDN'T FEEL LIKE TELLING EVERYONE THEY MOVED! IT'S FU<KING ANNOYING!
I know you'll come through for the little guy.

B of A is indeed broke. They swallowed Merrill with a stock swap (not cash as I had previously thought) - .8594 B of A for one Merill. Just like the greater economy, done with virtually worthless paper.

yes, he ran his campaign on the Robin Hood theory, and all those average class americans swallowed it up. truth is the economy is such a mess that Elmo could have run for Pres and probably won simply on the fact that people wanted change. they sucked up the Robin Hood theory in that everyone thinks that he's gonna tax the upper upper rich and give to the poor. truth will be taxing the middle as alwaysand giving to the prideless, lazy people not wanting to work. why should i work my regular job, then work another just to give to those who dont wanna work at all. give them health care while some people hold their jobs makin less but stay for the benefits..healthcare, retiremnt, pensions etc. then he wants to give Social security ti illegal immigrants not paying taxes. WTF???
sometimes i think Socialism is the only way to truly make people earn...
