I also recollect receiving this in the past and looked online before cashing it. The check cleared and I plan on cashing this one too. I want to do a little more checking online to make sure by cashing the check it will not exclude me from any other future reimbursement as stipulated in the notice.

Not sure if the $18 bucks is worth the possible scam...

We received a check for $226.03 for the foreign currency Litigation settlement fund. We had submitted all of our credit card transactions for a six year period from the late 90's through 2004 or 2005.
If you traveled outside of the US and used your credit card the banks were charging too high of fees.
If you didn't submit the documentation you only received the 18.04 check.
That's what my wife and I did. Just give us the quick bucks.
Also, our check stub does say "All Refund Amounts are Reduced because the Full Amount of all of the claims exceeds the amount in the Settlement Fund."
So for all of you other people - THANKS FOR LOWERING MY PAYMENT!

My wife and I both received checks today in the amount of $18.04 each. Went to the bank to see
if it was legit, they checked With the Huntington Bank. Informed check was boni fide and assets there to cover it. My bank honored these checks.

I guess there's hope for me considering people are still receiving checks.

$18 would at least let my family eat for one night. C'mon ccf attorneys, let's get moving on this.

Just got a check today for $18.04. Funny thing is I don't remember even hearing about this before or taking any action towards it, but I was overseas in 2004 and used my debit card. Was surprised to get this... usually I never get a thing from any class action settlement that I've been a part of/taken action on - the CD one, Clinique, some others that I don't recall.

It's legit. Plenty of info online about the settlement if you're wary. If you were mailed the form, they already have your personal info anyway that the court received from you cc company when they were negotiating a settlement. Just mail the form in - it doesn't ask for your cc number or social number. Why do it online?
You are absolutely correct--it IS legit. I just cashed my $18.04 check. This process started back in 2008 and I've been following the case ever since.

It's not a scam. But you may never get a refund because the case could be tied up in litigation forever. The information you received noted that it was a "proposed settlement." It is likely that when the case in finally final, consumers will get nothing.
I'm afraid you're wrong. I started the process back in '08 and just received and cashed my $18.04 check.

On 12/8/11 I received a check for 18.04, as that was the original amount of the settlement per individual. No further info was requested. I'm cashing it.

I my check. It was for the $18.04.

I'm sorry if I've been a litte short with everyone lately. It's just that I've been waiting for this check. To make sure the pool goes in when the ground thaws I had to lay out the money in advance. Until this little miracle arrived I didn't have enough money in my account to cover the check I'd wrote.

I received a check for $18.04. Said further settlement will come after all appeals are made. Check was good. Didn't have to give any more information.

My son just received his check which was reduced to $18.04 due to insufficent funds in the settlement divided by the recipients.
There is also another case which you can be included in or opt out of.

I just received my check for $18.04 too. I am very skeptical to cash it also for fear that it's a scam, but it looks like so many people have gotten it. Not sure if I'll cash it yet though.

Received my check back in mid November and when I went to cash it the bank was stongly advising me not too. I waited until today to cash the check of $18.04. I am thinking that if this was a scam that it would have been on the news by now and the bank had no problem cashing the check today. Hope my judgement was correct!
