EHF- You did however forget to take into account one simple fact. The cost of living rose over 5% in some areas and continues to rise and wages rose at less than 3%(or have regressed). This is how those who could afford before now end up with problems even as they have cut everything to the bare minimum. Is it still just that easy as you say or is it just wishful thinking? Remember control is an illusion.

Bob- 2012 is around the corner, have you been a good boy?

Just like "Stay at home mom", we are a single income family. We dumped our credit cards 3 years ago and have been debt free for over a year. We are not rich but get by just fine. Life is good. Banks have marketed debt to us for so long and so loudly that it has become truth. Our great grandparents thought debt was a sin and slowly over the last 100 years, debt has become commonplace. My personal goal for winning with money is: 1. Live on less than I make. 2. Never borrow money again. 3: Save for retirement. If you do this also, you will win with money too. I am in no way associated with Dave Ramsey but his financial teachings are great and have helped us also. Go to his website. You have to stop borrowing money and pay off your debt and great things will happen. I am a good example. Make a budget and live on less than you make. It works!

File Chapter 13 Bankruptcy and be done with it! It's the same as going through credit counseling without paying the fees to a counselor. Your credit rating will be hit just the same either way.
But the percentage rate is only 19 percent. And if you are like that other 70 percent that comes up with emernency finances and misses a payment with then your slammed with the remaining debt and a bankruptcy on your credit.

This is the first time I had ever applied for a loan. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the staff that answered any of my questions to the application process. Once this had all been completed the money was transferred quickly into my account. I will definitely be recommending 911PDAY .COM ( http://goo.gl/l0GrbF ) too my friends and family.
