Would be very helpful if Augusta County stepped in and did quite a bit more than what they think they are doing now. To continually allow someone to get behind is a shame. It hurts the children the most.Especially if you know where the additional funds can be taken from. Go after them. Don't just sit around and wait until they might fall into your lap.

This entire system has been constructed to bring money into the General Fund of the Commonwealth of Virginia...why else would it be illegal to pay your child support IN ADVANCE?

Nicole, the state wants parents to get behind in child support...if they collect on arrearages and interest, they get a higher percentage in federal financial incentives.

I really believe our system doesn't try because if I did not pursue my childs father I would have not received it.I had to play detective, follow and video tape Ex working under the table. Call on his job and pretend I was calling from DCSE and ask why has his waiges been garnished? When we went to Juvenille Court, and because I was in there at least every other month, the officer that always works it, told me if I was your husband I would not pay for being harassed by you. How does that sound? I should not have to go after my childs father or Ex husband for his daughter! I told the officer, you should be glad it isn't you! A lot of these woman feel like they have no hope, when their Ex'es work under the table. If they are not going to pay, let them pull time, it will change their minds! Mine pulled 2 years before he really start paying. I think honestly the state needs someone that is familiar with these dead beat fathers......maybe it is me! I feel DCSE still plays games with my Ex, he pays current, but also has over $38,000 in arrears. Our children suffer when they don't pay, My daughter graduates this year and I'm struggling paying for items for graduation, and there is thing's she has done without, but alot of Welfare mom's that know who the fathers are don't report or say they don't know who it is, because it is easier to collect Welfare, and most times you get more. I would not know that, most Welfare children dress better, have more high dollar items than so called middle class families or people who do not get any Welfare, you tell me why that is?

It is not illegal to pay your child support in advance, it gets added to your account and if you send in a payment they have to post it to your account. Don't know were you got that info!

I can't agree with you more, they do need to do more than sit behind a desk and think they are going to collect, they need to work with the women who are owed and have classes were the mothers can help them catch the ones who are not paying! I also notice to, that some of the moms are not properly prepared for when DCSE goes to court with them and when you make a trip to DCSE, they act like they are scared to come out and answer your questions and they are hell about getting a phone call returned from your case worker.

"They move, get paid under the table and put bill's in other people's names". Sounds like the tricks used by the welfare cheats---the two groups probably share a lot of members.
When it comes to collecting from multiple counties or towns, or several times from the state, women frequently borrow the names and addresses of their daughters, cousins, friends, mom, a coworker or someone else that can front for them and split the take. Men do the same thing with the guys they know. Oten this practice dovetails with those that sell EBT cards for a fraction of it's issued value.
No matter how "po" someone says they are in this welfare mecca they usually seem to drive a nice car despite their supposed difficulties in life. Often the car is in the name of mom, sister, girlfriend, cousin, dad or whatever works to dodge the system. This is a favored trick of drug dealers who make sure they never get credited for their assets by the IRS.
If a DMV check on an extended family that is getting public assistance shows that out of 20 people with driver's licenses five people ( 4 cars each) own the cars in their names you have struck a gold vein. The woman driving a 50K Lexus who has two sons owing child support and she makes eight bucks an hour, working part time ---oh yeah---there are patterns to doing good name traces that extend way beyond a simple computer run. Selling drugs is a big part of some of the local family trees---and everything is connected somehow! Take a look at the whole family in terms of where the vehicles are---don't settle for a one name computer look see. Then compare the cars to the public assistance AND the owed child support that two or three have and then you start to get the REAL "family portrait".
I was sitting in the Pantops Starbucks when I heard one young woman share a chuckle with a few of her friends. Her deadbeat cousin in Buckingham called her and said "Tammy, me and Junior is having a tough time of it. Could we borrow your address so as to get some benefits from Albemarle"? Well, don't you know, sweet young "thang" quickly "got holt" of daddy who drove down to the kinfolk and told them that if they tried to do anything too creative they wouldn't be able to enjoy any of the handouts they were already getting---and it sounded like the lovin' kinfold were masters at "milkin' the programs".
Hopefully I have given the enforcement office a few ideas. Start with the largest employers and work your way down.

If the money is in an account the bank account is many times in the name of a relative or trusted friend. If deadbeat son is working under the table to dodge his debts mom's bank account may well show an interesting deposit pattern.

Next time share your evidence with the IRS and take the matter out of the hands of the bumbling locals.

Of course, it's illegal...Prince William County attempted to jail me for four months for paying in advance...and here's a law they attempted to pay when I sought out a legislatior...you'll notice the law died in Committee:

You obviously don't understand English very well...I didn't say they got part of your arrearage payments or interest...I said Virginia receives a higher percentage of federal financial incentives for collection arrears or interest...

Perhaps if you didn't sit on your ass all day waiting for your tax-free gravy train, you could better comprehend what others write?

Lady, why not tell us how much the Court has ordered YOU to provide for your child?

The answer is ZERO...it's ALWAYS ZERO...custodial parents are NEVER ordered to provide for their children...they aren't even required to spend their tax-free child support on their children.

The Counties don't handle child support at any level...we have a single state agency, with a little over 900 idiots, which handles child support.

Why isn't child support reported as income? This would reduce the EIC payouts. And the payee should get a tax deduction for what they pay in.

WOW! I can only speak from my horrific experience with the Charlottesville Branch of Child Support Enforcement and Mary Wilson. "You can't move around among states to forget child support." Wilson stated. Really? My children's father went from Virginia to California to Wisconsin to evade his child support obligation and Virginia/Mary Wilson et al haven't laid a finger on him or his wallet. Not one of these wonderful enforcement tools have been utilized. They've known exactly where he lived during the 3 years he has been voluntarily unemployed. They know where he is right now and have done absolutely nothing.$51,270.12 is what's owed to my children. They'd appreciate that money Mary. How about doing your job?

How many of these parents have gotten in trouble for a little bit of cannabis and now cant get a better education, and a higher paying jobs so that they can support their child?Cannabis is not the boogie man they told you about. They have told you that cannabis kills brain cells, but they didn't say which ones did they?Truth it cannabis kills cancerous brain cells and promotes healthy brain cell growth. The biggest danger to using cannabis is getting caught using it.

As soon as one of those idiot workers with an overwhelming case load quits, I suggest you apply. I bet your resume' is loaded with idiotic things that would make you a shoe in for the job.
