With no sales tax, leaders regroup
A bill that would have given cities and possibly Jefferson County, the ability to implement a 1 percent sales tax died in the House Finance Committee last week after gaining unanimous passage in the Senate.

More taxes, particularly on the working men, women and children of Ranson and Jefferson County is never the answer. Congrats and thank you to the House Finance Committee.
