Ever hear of the term "to date"? It's used in accounting to define income and expenditures. They do indeed know how many have signed up "to date". It's a dismal few and that is why they claim they don't know.
Three states alone have signed up 16,000 for insurance. Much more hits. Reported by CNN in response to a GOP rep stating same as you. Exactly how many is a dismal few?

Wow, 16,000 out of 3.5 million or so. Yep, they are rollin now.......
Sorry sgt. I just don't have any faith in a "law" that forces people into a program that they won't reap anything from. We already have enough of those type of programs that very few of us qualify for but pay dearly to.

The $93 million website launched to process customers through the new ObamaCare marketplace may experience significant technical glitches for months, computer software experts told FoxNews.com .

“I wouldn’t rule out that possibility,” said George Edwards, a computer scientist and professor at the University of Southern California. It all depends on when they identify the bugs, where they are, and if they can be resolved easily, he said -- all while the site is running and open to millions of customers.

“[It's] like trying to repair a car while someone is driving it,” he told FoxNews.com .

Not only was the site still experiencing substantial problems Wednesday, a week after launching, but the White House had reportedly been aware for months that the HealthCare.gov website had flaws and might not be ready to launch. Yet officials insisted on the Oct. 1 roll out anyway.

More than a week into the glitch-littered launch of the ObamaCare insurance "exchanges," critics are decrying the roll-out as a "train wreck" that should give everyone pause about requiring individuals to use the new system -- or obtain insurance elsewhere -- by early 2014.

"How can we tax people for not buying a product from a website that doesn't work?" House Speaker John Boehner said.

The healthcare.gov site opened for enrollment on Oct. 1, but users are still having trouble breaking through the website's myriad problems just to sign up.

Reports have since surfaced about warning signs that the site was not ready for launch; raising more questions, another report said the price tag for the site has grown from $93 million to $634 million.

The administration all along has tried to explain the problems as a product of the overwhelming interest in the insurance products on the site -- a matter of sheer volume.

Millions of Americans have tried to purchase health insurance through the online marketplaces that debuted on October 1 under Obamacare, but thus far, the reviews have not been pretty, according to a new Associated Press/GFK Poll.

Seven percent of Americans surveyed said that someone in their household has tried to purchase insurance through the marketplaces - a figure that could represent over 20 million people.

But three quarters of those who tried to purchase insurance reported problems with their experience. Only one in 10 were able to actually buy an insurance plan.

<quoted text>Here's your sign!!! This has got to be the best proof to date of liberal ignorance and just how naïve they have to be to buy the bs the WH is putting out. All they have to do is look at the number, it's already there, up to date, totaled, and very clear to read. If they can't tell how many are currently enrolled then no wonder their website is closed for construction, it was a totally inept site and must have been put together by preschoolers.

Democratic leaders who run the District of Columbia are rapidly losing patience with their Democratic colleagues in Congress and the White House, lashing out at them over the partial government shutdown and questioning their overall strategy.

The District already is dealing with lost tourism revenue, as some would-be visitors change vacation plans, knowing that D.C.'s top attractions like the Smithsonian museums are closed. But unlike other cities, Washington, D.C., also is not allowed to spend locally raised funds during the partial shutdown -- due to its unique status as federal district. City leaders have campaigned to have that restriction lifted, but so far only the Republican-led House has voted to allow it.

The impasse has D.C. Democrats suddenly on the side of Republicans, and publicly challenging Democrats.

The tension came to a head on Wednesday, when D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray crashed a Senate Democrats' press conference on Capitol Hill. Gray was attending a nearby rally when he marched over to the Senate Democrats' event, in turn getting into a confrontation of sorts with Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid.

Reid was caught on camera telling Gray: "I'm on your side. Don't screw it up."

According to MyFoxDC.com , asked afterward what Reid meant by that, Gray said: "I have no idea." There is so much media coverage over "alleged" in-fighting amongst repubs, yet the media ignores the dems who are at each others' throats it's very interesting.
