Out of a fairness to brick and mortar retailers I get some of these online sales tax laws. Alot E business do have an unfair advantage.
Since when does any state have the right to tax what business you conducted in another state. The only loop hole I would accept is a 50% discounted sales tax rate the reason being on the consumers side of the transaction is being conducted in state.
But Pennsylvania imposes a use tax even for items you went physically out of state to buy. That sounds like an entitlement to personal disposable income period.
Pa also enforces archaic alcohol sales laws by staking out a neighboring no sales tax state like Delaware nailing legit consumers for traveling across state lines to buy something that is legal in both states simply because Pa didn't get to tax it. In Pa they have government controlled liquor sales in which the price and selection a far less than a privatized free market as well.
The fact that one state has their government agents going another state to enforce their own laws shows how ridiculous tax law has become.
The fact that states like Pennsylvania charge a use tax or have reportable purchase/send the tax to me laws shows the unwiley sense of entitlement government has to your disposable income. The IRS might be a corrupt power abusing entitled organization of government bureaucrats but many state laws make the IRS look like girl scouts at a Sunday afternoon picnic.
