Exactly, follow the money and when you do you'll see that there is a lot more money to be made in fossil fuels than alternative energy. That is why there is so much opposition to what Mr. Gore is saying. Oh yeah, since we are on the subjuct of money lost by Big Oil and Corporate America, this is why they are spending so much money to spread false information in regard to global warming being a hoax. Well people, guess what? It's real. Foolish to think that there are people out there do not realize if man-made climate change is a reality, well then we stand to lose the human race. And if it isn't, the only thing we really lose is our dependency on foreign oil and many of the other fossil fuels. And please don't tell me about the money. We are going to pay it either way to someone whether we use fossil fuels or alternative energy. Wake up.
What are your credentials and what are Gore's? Do you think that saying it passionately lends credibility? The constant praise of a schmuck ex-politician isn't enough to convince. I mean, you are just some schmo sitting on Topix claiming to know what the Earth is going to do. It's a little silly. "It's real". Well, there ya go people.

Al Gore used 216,000 KWH of electricity in his house last year.I do not want to hear any advice from this charlatan.I used 5400 KWH last year. That's 1/40th of the Guru's usage.I'll continue to listen to me.The only reason he wants to go green on electricity is because he may need all the fossil fuel generated electricity for himself in 2018.

Gore goes to a convention to promote his crazy ideas about energy. He drives up in a Limo. He has two SUVs with his staff. His drive sits in the Limo with the engine idling for over 20 minutes. When asked about it, they refuse to answer any questions. Gore is a sore loserman. Gore uses more energy in one month at his house than I use in 9 months.
You liberals are either really stupid, brain dead, or just plain ignorant.

Gore's undergraduate transcript from Harvard is riddled with C's, including a C-minus in introductory economics, a D in one science course, and a C-plus in another. "In his sophomore year at Harvard," the Post reported, "Gore's grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush's transcript from Yale." Moreover, Gore's graduate school record - consistently glossed over by the press - is nothing short of shameful. In 1971, Gore enrolled in Vanderbilt Divinity School where he received F's in five of the eight classes he took over the course of three semesters. Not surprisingly, Gore did not receive a degree from the divinity school. Nor did Gore graduate from Vanderbilt Law School, where he enrolled for a brief time and received his fair share of C's.(Bush went on to earn an MBA from Harvard).

Not only did he invent wind power and solar power, he also invented the internet. Now he wants to tell the next president how to do it, despite never getting the job himself. perhaps Gore knows the answers to these questions :-
what happens when the sun goes in?
what happens when the wind drops?
The sun doesn't go in. The earth revolves around the sun, completing its orbit every 365.25 days. The earth rotates on its axis every 24 hours.

There is always part of the earth that is facing the sun.

When you finish 5th grade, you can rejoin the debate.

And Einstein failed English. It doesn't change the fact that we need cleaner fuels, less dependence on middle eastern oil, and less political clout and policy influence by the oil companies.

Not suprisingly liberals are unperturbed that Gore has no crdentials, education, experience or expertise to lead the "fight" against "global warming" and to lecture the world how to meet its energy needs especially as his "carbon footprint" dwarfs that of the average American and he stands to reap millions of dollars promoting "carbon offsets" through his company GenerationInvestment Management. Gore, like Barak Hussein Obama, cheer when the price for a gallon of gas skyrockets and sneers when a majority of Americans support domestic oil production and nuclear power. FYI Einstein's native tongue was German,he spoke middling Enblish and was widely respected as a genius in physics. Yet Einststein lacked Gore's chutzpah to make himself out to be more than he was.

He bought property with a zinc mine on it and it is spewing zinc into the river un-checked for years poluting it. he has been fined and he has the gall to recieve federal superfunds to clean it up but nothing has been done to clean it up.

Stop being such a disdainful nit-picker and stop pretending that you do not understand colloquial English. "The sun goes in" is a correct, understandable phrase meaning that it's behind clouds, and I suspect you know that. Or do you correct everyone you know when they say "sunrise" or "sunset"?

It's fairly obvious that one doesn't need credentials, education, experience or expertise to be president of the USA.

All it takes is just a SMART leader who listens to advisors with above average IQ's.

Unfortunately, neither the current ocuppant of the WH & advisors, nor their GOP nominee is what we would call smart.

Just goes to show that getting good grades at a good school is not an indication of intelligence or future success. I would say that Bush's education was a wasted investment and that Gore was at least smart enough to know that he wasn't going to be successful in school and quit while he was still ahead.
