If a politician is good at anything, it is talking around an issue without cmmitting to anything specific. I don't expect anything specific to come out of the debates on this or any issue.

Rather, I expect both candidates to explain their ideas and how the they are better than their opponent's. Specifically, I want to hear how Obama's ideas on wealth re-distribution will affect the economy and jobs for the middle class. So far, these ideas don't seem to be having a desireable effect. Why should we American expect the effects to change over the next 4 years? I want to hear how Romney's ideas on allowing businesses to retain their profit are superior to Obama's and why we should expect a better result with his policies over the next four years.

I realize that past performance is not a perfect indicator because times and conditions change; there are many variables. But I want to hear why each candidate thinks his policies are superior; the rationale behind his thinking, with some facts supporting the rationale.

Romney will lower taxes for the wealthy and raise taxes on the middle class. Romney says broaden the base and that means raising taxes on the middle class and Grover Norquist approves of that type of tax rise.

BIDEN: Middle Class 'Has Been Buried The Last Four Years'...

Folks, you just can't write this stuff........Biden admits that he and Obama have buried the middle class.......the 4 years of Obama's reign of terror.

Biden tells audience middle class has been 'buried' last four years

Vice President Biden said Tuesday that the middle class has been “buried” for the last four years.

Biden made the remark at a campaign rally while arguing that Republicans would raise taxes on the middle class. He said the tax hike would be especially bad given what the middle class has been through over the last four years. Remember ObamaCare has 17 taxes that affect the middle class.

Really- apparently you didn't read the article.

Why do we care anyway? Neither Obama or Romney has offered specifics. Yet, we swear up and down that our candidate has the answers. And they never do. Nothing ever gets done. The people who offer specifics in the primaries NEVER win the nomination.

We have only ourselves to blame.

To answer your specific allegation, however, broadening the base (JOBS) is going to bring more money into the treasurey than taxing a few thousand people who will just legally park their money til the next POTUS offers a tax break.

As Joe Biden says- Every has to have skin in the game.

The republican no trickle down voodoo economics depression has destroyed the middle class. Republicans now want to finish destroying and buy the middle class. The middle class built America.

COMPREHENSIVE TAX REFORM DRAFT (process)

Consolidate the tax code into three individual rates and one corporate rate

Eliminate the AMT, Pease, and PEP

Eliminate ALL $1.1 trillion of tax expenditures

Dedicate a portion of savings to deficit reduction and
apply the rest to reduce all marginal tax rates

Add back in any desired tax expenditures, and pay for
them by increasing one or all of the rates from their zero-
expenditure low

Would you support this?

I don't know why I have to keep explaining this to you. The top 30 corporations are not going to pay taxes unless the tax code is written. Again they're just going to park there money legally, until the next president give them a tax break.

A GOP-backed consulting firm may have submitted "hundreds" of faked voter registration forms in Florida, according to the Florida Department of State.

The GOP cut ties with the third party voter registering company Strategic Allied Consultants on Thursday after the Palm Beach County elections supervisor flagged 106 of the firm's registration forms for having similar handwriting, incorrect addresses and incomplete information.

Since then, elections officials in nine Florida counties have unearthed hundreds of possibly fraudulent registration forms.

Chris Cate, a spokesman for the Florida Department of State, said the state does not yet know the exactly how many forms were allegedly faked. While it is not unusual to get reports of incomplete registration cards, Cate said it is rare for the state to have so many forms with false or wrong information.

"We are concerned about any cases of voter fraud," Cate said. "In this case, it has to do with most allegations regarding bad information on voter applications. We don't know the extent of how it could impact election, but we will let the Florida Department of Law Enforcement determine full extent of the problem."

Strategic Allied Consultants claims the issue stemmed from one employee, who was fired on Sept. 15, but county election officials claim the fraud was more widespread, stretching across counties that are more than 500 miles apart.

Of course, the GOP "fired" their consultant... and urged them to start a new company under (yet) another new name.
