Okay...no one gets it ... what do you think is going to happen when the Government gets involved in Health Care --- it will be another reason for them to raise your taxes and spend your taxes on other needless programs ...its not because they care about anyone that does not have health care ...it gives them another reason to get into your pocket books...when has the Government ever run anything efficiently ....its not going to bring Health care costs down just because the Government is running the show....lets see Social Security and Medicaid _ Medicare...fraud ..Here is comes more of the same ....thank you Scott for voting NO !!!

I'm tremendously disappointed. Your reasons could have come out of the mouth of a Republican. All the things the bill does do that help, you say you support, but talk is cheap. This bill is a first step. To get even this, women's right to choose has been bartered away, but still I'm for the bill. Are you just looking to 2010? Where's the change you promised.

Scott, with all due respect I disagree with your vote on this bill. America needs to pass healthcare reform. This bill would end the denials for pre existing conditions and is against abortion funding. The cost of this bill is a trillon dollars I know, but if you want to save money bring our troops home from places like Europe and Iraq and stop policing the world. I hope you take what I've said to heart.

Bravo to Scott Murphy for his courageous vote against an amorphous, incomprehensible health care bill. I am a Democrat who found the House bill lacking in internal cohesion. Reforms should be acted upon one at a time, with a clear goal in mind. This bill did not reach a reasonable standard.

Scott, I thank you for listening to the voters in your district. You were extremely cordial at the townhall meeting and listened intently to our concerns. Our healthcare is not perfect but a government-run healthcare is not the answer. Our country is in such a financial crisis that this would certainly put us over the edge. If we continue down this reckless spending path, I fear we will be speaking Chinese in the very near future.

Mr. Murphy should not call himself a Democrat. This is a right-wing vote based on primative thinking, not in any way a moderate position in the 21st century. To have a New York State legislator posing as a Democrat right in our back yard go against this essential and long overdue measure of human decency is offensive. I will be looking to put my energies behind an "anyone but Scott Murphy" movement when he comes up for re-election. I would rather have a moderate Republican than an ignorant, backward Democrat representing our region.

Thanks for listening to the taxpaying voters. This bill is fraught with glaring insights to the greed and eventual failures of the governments position. I did not vote for Murphy, but he has my respect as an intelligent, business minded and very capable politician now.

The purpose of Health Care reform is to raise revenue --- the US economy has tanked and our Politicians need another reason to create more taxes....and pass those taxes on to corporate America...our Politicians could care less about the taxpayer just their how much they can line their pockets with our money !!!

NO Way. There are far more people in Green County who can not afford Heath insurance and the sky high medical costs then could ever work at these companies Murphy is referring to. Even if these "companies" survive the recession they still will not be able to provide their employees with affordable health care coverage much longer. The current system is OWNED by people who make a profit from limiting our heath care. When it comes to historical and important issues like this you must NOT break with your party otherwise what the hell's the point of a party? Soon it will be a crap load of people each with a million ideas achieving NOTHING. Rep. Murphy just got bought off plain and simple. Lets see how much of his campaign contributions can be traced to those "Companies" he is referring to next year. He lost my vote and anyone else I can talk out of it.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
