Taking a picture of someone is not a crime. Working while on disability is also not a crime. It is actually encouraged by a disability law called right to work. What is unlawful however is to slander someones name by falsely accusing them of wrongdoing. Moving a refrigerator onto a dolly is not illegal even if you are on social security disability.

That being said, if the man did take a picture and there was a fridge being lifted, then it is wrong to be collecting SSI if you are able to work. Not every job has heavy lifting.

And I'm still in love with the old Mayor, I wish he'd come back and run this town the way it should be. He was a great guy!

Yes indeed. There are several issues involving the current city staff which need the full investigation of state and maybe even, federal authorities. I find it strangely ironic that the councilman stalks and bullies someone over a disability when the word on the street is that he is hiding a serious physical and mental impairment of his own.

There may be several issues that need investigating, but lol , they never will be. What happen to all these investigations the last couple of years? There weren't any. Ethics committee my *ss. What a joke. But hey, at least all your threats of investigations scared off Fox and Ash!

If, the councilman knew Walker had disability, then why did he not offer to help? The fridge was made lighter by taking off pieces to help with moving. A little help would have been nice, I'm sure.

The councilman did not want to help Walker, he wanted to rob him of his livelihood .
The councilman has had ethic violations in the past he should resign immediately .

Interestingly enough, the same councilman who stirred this particular hornet's nest didn't bother to come and read his letter of resignation at the council meeting last night.

In it he attempted to have the last word-- blaming the Tyler Star News for mistreating him, along with a small group of citizens and people on Facebook.

I guess that shoe doesn't fit so well on the other foot. Apparently, underhanded and deplorable acts are only acceptable when HE'S the person performing them and not being subjected to the same.

He's resigning his seat so he can run for Mayor. There's already talk of a House of Delegates seat in the future

His resume is certainly impressive:
several ethics violations, stalking and best of all blaming everyone else for his problems.
I'm sure he'll get plenty of votes. Will he run as Moonbeam or Dearabby33?

I think he should have to run as ALL of his aliases. And we would still get to watch him lose.

As a Dem or a GOP. If he runs as a Dem, Charlie Delauder will kick his butt from one end of Tyler County to the other end of Doddridge County in the Primary. If he runs as a GOP, he may have a chance providing what Romine decides to do. However, if elected, he will never get by in Charleston what he has been doing in Sistersville. Alex King will be tame compared to Phil Kabler of the Charleston Gazette.
