Hope you don't have any issues with the airline because there won't be anyone there to answer the phones.

Spirit failed to take adequate steps to notify me about their cancellation of flight 206 from GCM to FLL on 14th, May 2007.

Since Spirit had no flights to FLL that day, or for the next 3 days, I incurred additional expenses to get back to FLL.

Proof of those expenses totaling $580.00 (to fly to MIA, and to rent a car so that I could return to where
I parked my car in FLL) was placed into Spirit's hands and witnessed by Mia Pinango of Spirit's office, the next day.

I have not heard back from Spirit since, in SPITE of repeated messages left on voicemail.

Fly SPIRIT? Never Again!!!

hope spirit air gives the other airlines a run for their money.

the others have lousy service too.

the difference will be that we will not have to pay outrageous fees for lousy service.

Don't fly Spirit! They are totally screwed up with the new baggage policy. Lines to check in are super long because people are paying for their bags at check in. This causes you to almost miss your flight even if you are there 2hours before!
They lost our luggage on a Ft laud to Atlantic City flight this weekend and we unable to track it. The bags showed up 2 days later. Clothes inside the suitcase were wet as if they had been sitting in the rain.
On the return flight, they had 3 flights using the same baggage claim at the same time. Talk about a mess!
Oh, and during the lost baggage adventure, when we went to see if the bags arrived there were many others missing bags as well. The Spirit workers were lousy and didn't care about the lost bags they have no way of tracking. Their attitude is "when they show up we will send them to you".

I am a frequent flyer from Santo Domingo to FtLauderdale. My family and I have to run the obstacle course to check in. 2to three hours.
Its not easy to manage a toddler and the minimum baggage allowed .The check in space the {maze)is smaller than my patio at home.you get to the counter and then u cant get out to the x ray area.on the last trip i pulled a back muscle while piloting our bags around the maze.

We're not sure if they're any cheaper or better since you'll have to buy food and water and pay for bags.
Read the small print.
Take change for the pay toilets.

Some people just love to complain. Spirit offers the best value for the money and if you catch a sale it's even better. What do you want for $48.00 to Washington, D.C.....a three course meal and a backrub? C'mon people.

beware of the very long lines to check in at spirit air's terminal. They choose to have all 15 flights depart in a 2 hour window resulting in many people missing their flights when i was there.Luckily i figured they would be that incompetent and i was there 3 hours before international departure.I waited 1 hour OUTSIDE the terminal in the hot sun before i had to wait 1/2 hour inside the terminal. There were only 2 gate agents downstairs processing the line with computers available for 6 more agents unstaffed.Leg room is nonexistent even on exit row.Flight back was delayed 1 hour, then we sat on tarmac for 1/2 hour waiting for a gate agent.Beware spirit's greediness in not sufficiently staffing personnel for its recent expansion. You get what you pay for.
Sounds good to me

Spirit took all of the spirit out of my trip. Good luck going to another country, when they can't get out of ATL on time to FTL.

With this type of airline especially in such an expansion mode I would not want to fly out of any city but FLL and then only direct flights. The more plane changes with Spirit the more chances for prolems.

I would like to say that Spirit beforespand its service must resolve the problem of the passengers doing lines outside the airport building and the baggage delay that is having in its fligthts to Lima Peru. They do not have the capacity to handle the amount of passengers they have now or they do not care of having the passengers in line outside the airport building enduring the hot weather or do they want to have longer lines and passengers arriving without their baggage?

Spirit will be crushed by Jetblue as the two airlines just introduced service from FLL to Ponce PR. Spirit does not care about their customers and jetblue goes out of their way to make each traveler comfortable.
